Gretchen Wilson Sued by Black Crowes
Being sued for copyright infringement can’t be good for your career. Unfortunately, for country singer, Gretchen Wilson, the Black Crowes have filed suit against her for just that reason.
The Crowes allege that the chorus to Wilson’s single, “Work Hard, Play Harder” is an obvious rip off. Paris Hilton Distances Herself From McCain Ad
Paris Hilton is not very happy about her image being used in McCain’s presidential ad promoting Obama as popular.
Paris’s rep says “Miss Hilton was neither asked, nor did she give permission, for the use of her likeness in the ad, and has no further comment.” I’m surprised she’s not asking for residuals!

Restraining Order Against Sam Dropped
Along with the renewal of Britney’s conservatorship in court today, there was an interesting discussion of whether or not Brit’s restraining order against Sam Lutfi would be renewed as well. Well this renewal did not happen mainly because the court thinks that Britney’s much stronger and that Jaime can now fully protect her from him.

Britney’s Conservatorship Extended till 2009
Today was a big day for Britney Spears and un-doubtfully a stressful one. Does she ditch the conservatorship and tries handling life alone again or extends it and stay secured (& limited).
Well, following another day at court from which Britney was absent, Brit’s conservatorship was extended until the end of the year with a progress review scheduled for October 28th.

Betty had a nice idea. She suggested that we all send Kelsey Grammer our best wishes. As you probably know, he is an executive producer for Medium and was also the Angel of Death in one very fun episode. Police Chief says Lindsay Lohan Has “Gone Gay”

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson needed a police escort as they left a medical building in LA on July 31st. Sadly, the police did not do entirely great things for Lindsay today. LAPD Chief William Bratton was quoted today as saying that the paparazzi in LA have calmed down, with fewer incidents overall – part of that, he says, is because Lindsay Lohan has "gone gay".
