Australian Idol Gets Top 24

Nicole Richie at Il Sole
Nicole Richie looked chic as she left Il Sole on August 30. I love the white strapless minidress with the contrasting piping! I think Nicole looks great.

At first, Nicole was farily cordial with photographers, but hid her face once she got in the car. She was dining with an unidentified friend. A couple of sites claim it’s Molly Sims, but I’m not entirely sure.

Earl Stevenson Staying in Toronto for Now
He might have been eliminated from Canadian Idol this past week but Earl Stevenson has no plans to leaving Toronto. Instead of returning to his hometown of Lloydminster, Alberta, he plans to stay in the Canadian metropolis to pursue his music career. Mario Lopez to Host Another Competition Show on MTV
Mario Lopez, host of MTV’s show America’s Best Dance Crew, has landed another reality TV hosting gig. He’ll be hosting MTV’s newest reality competition, MTV’s Top Pop Group starting next month. The judges will be Taboo, Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child and choreographer Brian Friedman.
The point of the show will be to find the next great pop group. The show will premiere September 11 on MTV. There will be nine groups featured as contestants. … More »
Here Come the Newlyweds is Casting
ABC has announced that their alternative reality series, Here Come the Newlyweds will return for a second season. I really enjoyed the first season. I turned it on for the first time, expecting a cheesy game show and found an interesting competition between some very cool people. During the competition, they not only tried for the prize money, but most of them reported that the challenges actually brought them closer together as a couple.

Finola Hughes Is Staying!
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes, GH/NS) is crossing over to Night Shift 2 starting September 30th. Of course this will lead to her crossing paths with Robin’s Dad, Robert. It just makes sense, right?
Besides that, Finola has also been asked to stay past November. That means Anna and Roger will be in attendance when The Scrubs baby finally makes her first debut into the crazy world of her parents and Port Charles. Hooray!

Fergie at INVESCO Field for the Final Night of the DNC
According to the Associated Press, Thursday evening Fergie was spotted on the floor of the Broncos stadium before Barack Obama’s highly anticipated acceptance speech. Several fans in the crowd were heard calling out her name.

On the third day of the Democratic National Convention the Black Eyed Peas had the honor of performing. They were part of an event hosted by the Creative Coalition at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. Night Shift Fans Who Doesn’t Have SoapNet
Good news to Night Shift fans who doesn’t have SoapNet, either because they downgraded their DTV subscription packages out of frustration that SN is not really showing your favorite soaps on the time that’s convenient to you because SoapNet has replaced the shows with MVP or other primetime shows that are now running it’s old episodes on the once home of Daytime Soaps TV on primetime. Video: New Beckham Fragrance Ad
Here is the new television ad for the Beckham’s fragrances, including the news ones Signature for Her and Signature for Him. The ad is a 20-second segment and features both David and Victoria. All I can say is that the ad is hot, hot, hot!
