As this week’s episode of 13 Fear is Real began, we saw all the guests get off the bus and investigate their new place. It was an abandoned slaughterhouse. Cody was especially creeped out since he’s vegetarian. They chose to divide up into the rooms in groups; Leah, Melyssa & Erica in one room; Nasser & Ted in a room; and Cody with Adam. They said it smelled like rotting carcasses…YIKES!

Mastermind let them know that Rodney had been the killer and that the Death Box had been hidden in the kitchen area. They all went in and were looking everywhere, but it was Erica who found it secretly and took it and hid it in her things.
That night when everyone was asleep, Ted slipped out and went back to the kitchen to look for the Death Box. Erica heard him and went to try to kill him and he managed to get away. So now he knew Erica was the killer. He decided to tell his buddy Nasser and they were going to try to work Erica in a way that would keep them safe.
After Ted and Erica came to an understanding about the Death Box and her not targeting him or Nasser things got strange. All three of the girls went to take showers, and Erica slipped away without anyone seeing her and she killed Cody. (Darn! I always like the quirky folks. He was interesting!) Now they were down to only six people.
Adam was freaked out and no one could figure out who the killer was. Since Adam no longer had Cody to hang with, he started to befriend Leah. They were having a great discussion in one of the rooms when Mastermind announced that the pairs in each room were now teams in the next “Ritual.”
Then, one person from each team had to go outside the room and shut the door and use a map to find a crawl space into a room far away in the building. Once they each crawled through, they found out they were now locked in a cage.
The people left back in the rooms had to find their teammate and find a key to release them from the cage. The last team to get back to the rooms where they started would go to Execution. Leah was afraid to stick her hand into a hole where the key to the cage was, so Adam & Leah were last.

That night, after they each recorded their farewell messages, they had to get on the bus and go to what turned out to be a free-standing, cinderblock-walled bathroom. They were told to handcuff themselves to a pipe near the floor. Then they were told that the means to get out of the handcuffs were hidden in the room. Water started to flow out of the toilet along with snakes. YUCK!
Adam managed to get free and got to the bus. Leah was eliminated.
So we saw two guests eliminated this week. Cody was killed by Erica and Leah was eliminated in the Execution Ceremony. In the last couple of episodes, Ted has emerged as a real strategist and great player. I expect him to be around until near the end. The rest have proven themselves to be good players but I expect Melyssa to make her exit soon.
