2007 really was a great year for Billy Ray Cyrus, dad of the famous Miley Cyrus. I have always been a Billy Ray Cyrus fan, yes even during the mullet phase, but this past year I have grown to adore him even more. I love everything about him – his music, his role in Hannah Montana, his much better hair-do and the fact that he is an amazing father and husband.
2008 is looking good for the star also. "Ready, Set, Don’t Go," the single off Billy Ray Cyrus’ latest album, Home At Last, featuring daughter Miley Cyrus is #10 this week at Country radio. He also has a movie release coming up called "Flying Baby" as well as 2 more that will go into production: "Hannah Montana" and "Bait Shop". He will also continue touring into the early part of 2008 and will start filming on the 3rd season of Hannah Montana. Mr. Cyrus’ plate is full.
Here’s a look back at his accomplishments and great times of 2007:
-- Huge success with Emmy nominated show Hannah Montana and his "Home at Last" album with Walt Disney Records.
-- Cyrus was a semi-finalist on "Dancing with the Stars" February
through April
-- Home At Last album entered at #3 on Billboard's Country chart
in July
-- An acoustic version of "Ready, Set, Don't Go" was performed by
Billy Ray on an episode of "Hannah Montana" which premiered in
July
-- Featured with daughter Miley on two covers in July - People
Magazine and TV Guide
-- Performed "Ready, Set, Don't Go" on "Good Morning America,"
"Live with Regis & Kelly" and "The View," plus appeared on

November

culminating with a special duet performance with daughter
Miley on the December 20th program
-- Cyrus' Biography, an Emmy(R) award-winning documentary series,
aired multiple times on the Biography Channel
-- Cyrus launched his concert tour
-- At the end of 2007, Billy Ray wrapped production on the Jim
Amatulli drama "Flying By". The title of the film is based on
a song of the same name from his album Home At Last. Several
tracks from his album will be featured in the film's
soundtrack. Also cast in the film are Heather Locklear as his
wife, Oscar-winning actress Patricia Neal as his mother and
Olesya Rulin (High School Musical) as his daughter.
