Here’s a little bit of news about the 2 upcoming 2008 Disney Channel Movies:
Two movies, “Minutemen” and “Camp Rock,” will begin production for premiere in 2008 as part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise. For the past five years, “DCOMs,” as they’re well-known to kids and families, have been the year’s #1 movie across all basic cable among kids age 6-14. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide.
Sixteen-year-old Jason Dolley of Disney Channel’s hit comedy series “Cory in the House” crosses over to star in “Minutemen,” a comedy/sci-fi/adventure about three high school kids who invent a time machine to spare others just like them from the humiliation they’ve endured.
“Camp Rock,” scheduled to begin production in September, centers on a teen girl who desperately wants to spend her summer at a prestigious rock camp, but can only attend if she works in the kitchen as one of the cooks. When she’s overheard singing – but not seen — by a teen pop star at the camp, he is completely taken and sets out to find the girl behind the beautiful voice. But first she must confront her fears, step out of the kitchen and into the spotlight.

I love the Jonas Brothers! I think “Camp Rock” will be awesome! They’re great singers and, for everything I saw in Hannah Montana, good actors too! I’m so excited! I can’t wait for it! And Jason Dolley is so cute! “Minutemen” will be great too! It’s a different story, and I think this movie will bring a important lesson about life.
