Tribeca/ESPN Sports have announced a competition to find the official trailer for 2009 Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival. Why am I blogging about this on Disney Society? Because for the first time, Disney is getting involved in the Film Festival and it’s a very exciting contest. I also know for a fact that some of you are talented actors/actresses and could have a lot of fun with this. Here’s the scoop:
Tribeca and ESPN Sports want you to reenactment of a scene from one of these two Disney classic sports films: “Remember the Titans” or “Cool Runnings”. Three scenes for you to re-create have already been selected and the scenes must be kept within the spirit of the original film and be under 30 seconds.
A panel of Tribeca and ESPN notables will select the top submissions and will choose a winner. The competition begins Monday, January 5, 2009 and ends Saturday, March 7, 2009.

So, what all is involved if you win? Not only will your video be shown as the official trailer for the 2009 Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, but the grand prize winner will also receive a trip for two to New York City (airfare and accommodations included) for two nights. You and a guest will get to attend the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival. You’ll also receive dinner for two at the ESPN Zone, one Apple TV with an I-Tunes gift certificate in the amount of $100, and a 17-inch Apple Mac Book Pro fully loaded with Leopard OS and Final Cut studio. Sweet!
