Yesterday, jaws collectively dropped when character actor Doug Hutchison married 16-year-old aspiring country singer and part time model Courtney Stodden. So who is this new bride, and what do you need to know about her?
She’s been trying to get her career off the ground for awhile now.
Courtney has been trying to break into the music industry for some time and has a couple of songs up on her MySpace page if you want to listen. She reportedly met Doug through some music industry contacts.
She has a varied resume.
Despite her youth, Courtney has plenty of credits to her name. Her professional bio lists some of her previous work experience as a model (she did promotional work for Gold’s Gym and appeared in an ad for the Elvis Presley Fan Club) and hostess of something called The Courtney Stodden Show.
She’s a former pageant queen.
Although she and Doug got hitched in Nevada, Courtney is originally from the Seattle area. She was crowned Miss Ocean Shores, WA – Ocean Shores is a town about two hours’ drive south of Seattle.
Her parents supported her young marriage.
In Nevada, minors need a parent’s permission to get married. Courtney’s mom Krista signed the papers for her, saying that Courtney and Doug have a great relationship. “They are very much in love and we are so supportive of this,” Krista said, adding that Courtney was a virgin when she got married and that her boobs are real. Um, thanks for sharing?
She likes shopping, cars, and the color pink.
At least that’s what I learned from watching a couple of her music videos on YouTube, such as this one:

You gotta be kidding right? This is just a stunt to get her noticed. She is awful, real boobs or not. Very sleazy and I guess she gets it from the pimps that allowed her to get married. I feel sorry for her .

She is pretty much EVERYTHING that is wrong with the music industry today. they say, “what, you’re 16? well, we need you to be a sex symbol to sell more records so, get a boob job, nose job, lip augmentation, and…oh…you can’t sing? NO problem! we’ll just autotune everything!! What?… you can’t write songs? NO problem, we will write stupid meaningless party songs for you! Yeah, she definitely seems 16 in live action. Maybe even younger – kind of the “I just grew boobs and suddenly people think I’m attractive and I need to be very aware of this” stage. Luckily, most teenage girls have the sense not to circulate videos of themselves vamping and pouting (right?)

I think she really is 16, just because of how she is moving in the video. she’s doing things that she thinks are sexy.
i bet she thinks she is b-a-double-d, but really, she’s just making me feel awkward. that’s why i think she’s 16. i dont think an older person would be trying as hard, frankly.

That person is not 16. I looked through the entire photo gallery on her website. But I can’t understand why she would pretend to be 16, unless it is for the brief attention she is receiving right now.
