Looks just like any typical, happy, mommy to me
squirmy baby – check. blankie – check. arms overflowing – check. The bottle is a bit odd for a 17 month old, but no child is perfect.
I would just like to say – before anyone criticizes the way Katie is holding Suri in the first picture – that it is not weird, or irresponsible. Anyone who has ever held a child that age must understand
Suri was slipping and Katie just needed to reposition her.

So, she’s back to using the bottle, and back to using a diaper?
Im not trying to be argumentative, but – I don’t think she was ever out of a diaper ? She is far too young. And although we haven’t seen a picture of her with a bottle lately, it doesn’t mean she was ever off of it.
Yes, she was just repositioning a squirmy toddler. I hope the shoe change was from the omg ugly red to the attractive flattering beige. Kaite- your little Suri is adorable! but PLEASE trim her bangs- they are getting in the way of her seeing properly- ask any eye md. I’m so glad to see her body-guards are taking their job seriously on this excursion. By the way- has anyone ever caught a glimpse of the nanny? I wonder if she’s on this trip??
PS- Katie- why don’t you ever use a stroller??? There are some really nice ones out there- they can hold the bottle, blanket, your purse, the shopping bags, etc.
Plus Suri can nap when she gets squirmy-which usually means the little one is getting tired/bored/sleepy.
WHY DOESN´T SHE EVER USE A STROLLER? How exhausting to trek around the city in heels with a kid in your arms. I have yet to see her in a stroller…

I think that back in May, we saw pictures of a training-pants Suri. Now, she’s into diapers again. Well, I also think that if she is as well-adjusted as all of you fans say she is, then she should be drinking out of a training cup, not an infants nurser.
I think that Suri is much older than what is originally publicized, and Katie made sure that her little hinney was showing off a diaper, not those training pants that Tom hid, when he put his arm under her dress, in an earlier picture.
I think under the circumstances Suri is a happy, and loved child. By looking at these pictures of them shopping in Paris and by viewing the two new Paris shopping videos (on Splash’s website) you kind of get the feeling that after a while, it must be tiring accompanying someone while they are filming in another country. I mean I have done something similiar, stayed at a nice hotel while the person you are traveling with is working and after awhile you have shopped, ate at nice restaurants, visited the best museums, bookstores, cultural locations, etc., and you kind of wish you were back in the U.S. It must be harder when you are traveling with a child. And then on top of that you have the paparazzi following their every move looking for the “money shot.” That must be hard to live with every day. I think Katie is doing a good job handling all of this. I must say before she started dating Tom Cruise I really never really followed her movies but now she seems to have matured in a nice way. Even Tom Cruise looks better. I think they love each other and Suri is the bonus of this relationship.

There are more cute pics of Katie and Suri shopping today in Paris on justjared. Suri is asleep, while Katie carries her. I’m curious why Katie doesn’t use a stroller. It seems like that would much easier, especially for a sleeping toddler.. Not to mention, mom’s back.

I’ve gotta say I just don’t understand the stilettos when you’re trying to juggle a baby, huge purse shopping bags etc., bottom line it’s just irresponsible, and I think she’s putting her baby’s safety at risk for the sole purpose of looking fashionable for these photo ops. And she changed shoes, but not to a more suitable heel!!!

Well she did take a tumble and skinned her knee in those heels. Good thing Suri wasn’t hurt. What gets me is that the woman goes and changes into a pair of high-heeled black boots. Hey, I’m all for fashion, but you gotta think about the kid, too. I know, I know accidents happen. Okay, that’s a given, but it’s still odd to go and change into some more heels to carry the kid. Oh well, just a thought. Peace.
I just saw that too. It’s UNBELIEVABLE how irresponsible this woman is!!!!!! She didn’t even learn her lesson!! And why is she dragging around that sleeping kid in stilletos!!!!!!! It’s outrageous!!!

Just a note to all the people that think Suri is older than TomKat say:
She really can’t be much older than then what we know. If she is any older than 16 months, it can’t be by that much. She certainly isn’t 18 or 19 months, at least from how i see it. Comparing to the two 19 month olds i know, she definitely is younger than them (and they are not advanced at all
). And even if she is 20 months, she still wouldn’t be potty training. Yes, some children are potty trained at the age of 2, but that is not without parent’s pushing for them to do it. And if they want to hide it – then they wouldn’t be pushing her into potty training too soon. And even if she were potty training and they wanted to hide it then they would just put her in diapers when they went out in public. I don’t remember the pictures of her in training pants – but maybe it was something different.
Im not trying to be argumentative, but I just don’t see it.
I don’t understand why so many of the comments posted here seem to be so negative and critical. I started coming here to look at the cute pictures and have been doing that for a few weeks. I have read a lot of the comments and I really don’t see why it matters what kind of shoes Katie wears or whether Suri still has a bottle. Also, Suri looks EXACTLY the same to me in every picture I look at so I have no idea where all this conspiracy theory nonsense about baby doubles comes from. And the people who say that Suri is ugly or cross eyed. I can’t even understand something like that. She is a baby and I wonder if it makes grown people feel somehow powerful to make cruel comments about her.
Oh, and one last thought about the stroller question. Imagine what it must be like to be constantly followed by photographers and to want or need to easily get away from them by ducking into a store or restaurant. If Katie was pushing a big stroller laden with diaper bags and other things she would have less of an ability to do that. So maybe that is why she carries her child…or maybe it is just because she loves her and wants her close.

Libraesque…I get it that people have opinions and observations. I don’t think it is necessary to be condescending. I wasn’t trying to start an argument with you or anyone. As for the stilettos…I read that the pavement she was walking on was wet from rain so she could have just as easily slipped and fallen wearing flats. Case in point…I slipped and almost fell on my wet back deck today wearing flipflops.

why don’t you go out in stilletos when it’s raining and hold a child, a huge handbag and shopping bags, then walk up some stairs, but make sure they are outside where the drop is about 15 feet and see if you feell like a responsible, fit parent.

OK, I won’t lower myself to your level and be nasty because I’ve manners and I respect my elders but I’ll be polite and explain to you that, Katie changed shoes mid-shopping to a closed shoes, I guess because it was raining BUT the accident happened with the new pair of shoes she changed into…then she went into her hotel to change, where she probably didn’t have flat shoes or maybe she felt like wearing high heels and Suri nor Katie were in any more danger. Maybe her motto was since no one was in a real danger…when you fall off you gotta get back up…

Dancer, how do you know there is no car seat?? The bodyguards always open the car door once Katie and Suri are ready to get off. There are video where I have seen the bodyguards or driver waiting for a while before opening the car.

Hey that’s okay.. but it could be more safe. I know from when I adopted my daughter from Russia there were no car seats in Russia either, so I dealt with it. But if I were Katie I’d at least try to get Suri a car seat, if I could.

Reading the message string of how fired up everyone gets is rather entertaining. How can you be so empassioned on such a person level with these people, whether you’re ‘for’ or ‘against’ them, when you don’t know them? Seems bizarre to me, but then again, I only care about the fashion.

Yeah, she takes long strides, like a giraffe, as her body bobbs down before taking the next step. Real run-way model material.
I agree she is walking a bit funny in those boots and it might be the fact that her boots are actually touching her bruised knee and it also looks like she was moving slowly and carefully.
