I’m going to preface this by saying that although I prefer when Brad Pitt trims his facial hair into a goatee, and although I’m not a big fan of his beard, I don’t really care one way or the other. After all, it’s not my face, it’s his. He’s still a good looking man and he obviously enjoys his beard. The fact that he has beads in it makes me think he just sees it as something fun, almost like an accessory in the same way that a fun purse is an accessory for a woman.
However, all that being said, I had a good chuckle when I read People.com’s letter to Brad Pitt about his beard. It’s not mean-spirited but it gently suggests that perhaps Brad might want to re-consider his beard stance. You can read it over here.
One part of their letter reads:
Now that scraggly tortilla-chip-crumb trap growing under your lip has taken up permanent residence on a face that, in its clean-shaven days, twice graced our Sexiest Man Alive cover.
So maybe the beard was an act of self-defense against a third Sexiest Man title? Were you worried that Clooney would never stop ribbing you if we crowned you again? No worries! The deadline is long past and, as you know by now, we gave it to the comparatively clean-cut, not to mention younger (JK!), Johnny Depp.
It also delicately says that if Zahara can weave beads into Brad’s beard on a lazy Sunday morning that he might want to consider it a bit too bushy and scraggly.
Like I said, if he’s happy with it, I don’t mind Brad’s big beard. Still, this was pretty funny and I do hope the new year will bring a little less facial hair and a little more of Brad’s gorgeous face.

I personally don’t like his beard as it looks currently, but I do like it when it was nicely trimmed. He looked classy then but this one that he is presently sporting is just not my type. That’s just my personal opinion but if Brad and his Great Love is fine with it, then it’s okay. Like Sherry said, it’s his face and last I look this is a free country.

I am with Myrna, his face, but I hope he loses it soon. It makes him look older. But as Sherry says it is his face.

I don’t care about the beard one way or the other but it makes me laugh that so many people hate it so much and are speculating about why he has it!! He has the beard because he wants the beard and he doesn’t care if others don’t like it.
Plus, I think he is keeping the beard because (1) he likes it; and (2) a lot of people hate it!! I think he’s having a good laugh that People Magazine would bother to write him an open letter. How silly!! Keep your beard as long as you want Brad. It’s your face.

haha! i just love that letter from PEOPLE! but personally, at first I really hate that beard! it makes him look, i dunno, more old.. although his gotten a year older now.. but when I thought, it’s Christmas! then I have this funny idea popped into my silly head! I just thought his keeping because Angie, the kids and him likes it and he’s gonna play Santa Claus for the kids! haha! that is why at the end, I really don’t care now, since just like what you said Sherry, it’s his face.

I personally don´t like Brad´s horrible beard because it hides his beautiful face. I really wish that he shaves that horrible thing off as a New Years´ resolution or at least trims it a little bit. But as many of you have said it´s his face and he can do whatever he wants with it. As long as he and his loved-ones like it it´s OK. I actually can very well imaqgine Zahara and Shiloh playing with their dad´s beard. And why not the twins too. They sure love it. Maybe those plaids he had in that beard recently were made by Zee and Shi. LOL. I hope that the JPs have a very relaxing holiday season wherever they are. God bless them always!

I didn’t like it at first!Now I’m getting used to that beard,but I don’t really care!You all said it I’ll say it too,it’s his face and he can do whatever he wants with it!
What I don’t understand it why some people take this so seriously.I’m not talking about that PEOPLE letter(cause it’s for fun,I’m sure),but I’ve read comments from people who hate it and they DEMAND from Brad to shave it.I really don’t like that!I mean nobody can tell him what to do!!!
Anyway I like that letter!It was really funny!!!

I love the beard. I think it embraces the older, more mature Brad Pitt who is a father of six. I think he is having fun. I also think it shows that, hey, no matter the amount of hair that he grows or cuts/shaves away, he is still the sexiest man in Hollywood.
