Blair Waldorf is Audrey Hepburn. Well, she wants to be. Only richer and prettier (as if that’s possible). You could say that Blair has a little vanity problem.
Blair has known her whole life how to use her looks, her money and her connections to get what she wants – whether it’s bailing on-again, off-again boyfriend Nate Archibald out of trouble or getting into the college of her choice (Yale).
What she hasn’t figured out is how to stop feeling insecure around sometimes best friend, Serena van der Woodsen. The two have shared secrets, clothes and, oh yeah, a boyfriend. Blair can’t shake that feeling that Nate really wants Serena.
A lot of Blair’s insecurity may stem from her less than nuclear family. Blair’s father – now out of the closet – lives away from home with his revolving “new” family. Blair’s high society mother has remarried to a man that Blair can’t stand. Blair prefers to be out of the house as much as possible (can anyone say Barney’s?).
Maybe the girl that everyone loves to hate is really just looking for some stability? Nah, too easy.
