Chace Crawford has been tapped to play Nate Archibald, the guy that every girl – including both Serena and Blair (depending on the day) wants.
And yes, Chace is his real name. His real middle name. His full name is Christopher Chace Crawford and if he sounds Texan, it’s because he is.
Chace was born on July 18, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas, a city you might recognize as the home of Buddy Holly and Natalie Maines (of Dixie Chicks fame). After graduation from high school, Chace moved out to California to attend Pepperdine University. He struggled in college to figure out a major and eventually switched over to acting. He has appeared in a number of smaller projects over the past couple of years – Gossip Girl is to be his first leading role.
