I haven’t had the chance to watch the roundtable, but I have read the transcript. It was interesting, and clearly, Daniel Day-Lewis seemed to be the most revered one; everyone at that table seemed to really look up to him. Really says a lot about him as an actor. I also liked it that he had questions for everyone; he seemed very much interested in engaging them in a very insightful conversation. James McAvoy sounded charming & funny. Of course, Angie’s comments were enlightening. :)

You’re welcome, Irma. Ligaya, I agree – the whole thing was so fascinating in so many ways…

I hadn’t really fully registered how it must have been for Ange – meeting someone who’s husband died so horrifically. I think it was a great compliment to her that Daniel Day-Lewis asked her about her feelings leaving the film.

I thought you could tell that James McAvoy was joining in really well, but that he’s younger and less experienced in life than the others (I would hate for him to read that, but I’m sure he won’t anyway).

I love the way she said they’d all go to George’s – what a lovely thought.

I absolutely enjoyed this roundtable. I’m totally fascinated with movie magic – what we see on screen, and the behind the scenes nuts & bolts. It’s so interesting how different actors have different techniques – e.g. Bening & Winslet starting with their costumes’ importance and James McAvoy starting from the character’s inner emotional life and downplaying the outer appearance of costumes.

These are the kinds of articles I love to read – something with substance, meaning, and accuracy – not the tabloid trash.

Is it going to come out in the actual print issue? I wasn’t too sure.

Angie and George seem to have gotten into some sort of banter as well. Very cute.
