Well, kind of, anyway. It’s only 800 words, but still! It’s one of 13 notecard-sized stories by famous authors to be auctioned off for charity. Here are some of the other authors who participated:
- Michael Rosen
- illustrator Axel Scheffler
- graphic novelist Neil Gaiman
- Lisa Appignanesi
- Richard Ford
- Lauren Child
- Irvine Welsh
- Sebastian Faulks
- Nick Hornby, who plastered his card with a collage
- Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing
- novelist Margaret Atwood
- playwright Tom Stoppard
No word yet on what it was exactly that JK Rowling wrote; we’ll know after June 10, when the auction gets going. What do you think she wrote? What would YOU write?

I wouldn’t mind Rowling writing a series of prequel books on James, Sirius and Lupin growing up. We could have them tangling with the beginnings of Valdemort’s rise to power and the creation of deatheaters. We all already love Sirius and Lupin, and it would be cool to get to know James, Lily and Snape as they grew up.
dude, i want to know about mr and mrs weasley @ hogwarts. we heard in Gof that mrs weasley got back to the common foom @ 4 in the morning as whe went on a walk with mr weasley. i love them so much! they’re adorable!

whatever she writes, i know it will be terrific (although i’d love to know a bit more about hermione or the marauder)
i hope someone buys this that lets us fans see it! this sounds really greedy but she should write more for the fans and give that money to charity like she did for the quiddich through the ages and fantastic beasts and where to find them.

omg i spelled quidditch without a ‘t’… i feel like such a terrible fan lol

oh, and marauder should be pluralized
sorry for 3 posts in a row but on http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.com it says that the prequel will 3 years before harry is born and involves james potter and sirius black… so they’d be 17? last year at hogwarts possibly? interesting…

thank you very very very very much for putting up the prequel. I’m a very normal person, xcept that I’ve be rereading all the harry potter over the 2 months for like a million times….(I just looked over n I Do sound like I’ve gone mad)
neways, I had no idea of its existence n just chanced upon it and am glad to read the new material of Madame Rowling’s. so, thank you for providing me n other fans with her words.
For it is her words, the style of writing in addition to the characters n events that have made me a Potter Fan.

I’d like to see some books on what the children of Harry/Ginny and Hermoine/Ron get up to once they reach the age of going to Hogwarts, and am surprised and sad that J.K. didn’t continue on in that vein.
