A little Brad Pitt baloney for your dining pleasure

Compliments of China Daily:

A source told Britain’s Star magazine: “They are cooped up in the hotel, the food isn’t great and he doesn’t like the heat. He seems thoroughly depressed and I think he misses Malibu.”

“Angelina is unhappy because he won’t go along with her plans. She is so passionate about Namibia and wants Brad to be too, but you get the feeling he just has a yearning to put down some roots. Going to Africa was bizarre for him.”

Not buying it. ;)

  1. Lee says:

He may be a little homesick, but I doubt it is the problem they would like to make it out to be.

  2. momof4 says:

That is an old story that femalefirst brought back to counteract all the positive publicity. It is truly amazing that people are so anxious to believe negative things, even old hashed news wrapped up to look new.

  3. Cali Girl says:

Uh They’ve been in Africa for over a month now and they want us to believe that he won’t go along with her plans of staying there? are they running with this story because they know they’ll be leaving Namibia soon?

I bet When they come back to California the rags will act like the only reason for them leaving Namibia is because he’s homesick.

  4. jackie says:

  14. maggie108 says:

i can’t stand these people who are so quick to knock angelina and brad. people are so eager to report anything negative about these 2.

that’s why i love going on this site. there are people just like me, who want only to be happy for them.

  15. JustME says:

    Who are you talking about?

  16. lc says:

    I agree Maggie108.

About the article. Isn’t this a recycle of the Paris story. However in that story, Brad did not like Paris because it was wet and cold. Now it because he does not like the heat.

  17. JLS says:

Mike, are you there? I would love to get your opinion on the weather(is it really hot? How hot?), Is it necessary to use a mosquito net?; Is there a computer hook-up? Is there television? Are there lots of activities for children besides bike riding and picnics at the dunes?
I ask these questions because I’ve traveled a lot and found myself very homesick on several occasions. Be it ever so humble there was no place like home (IMO). I lived in the Midlands in England for several months and in spite of the breathtaking beauty, the history and literary draws all around me (both of which I love), I was very anxious to get back to my own bed, my own television, Texas food and all my friends and family. Just to say, it may not be true that Brad wants to get back home but it would be so reasonable and normal if he did. It doesn’t have to mean that he doesn’t appreciate Namibia or hasn’t liked many things about his experience there. Hope I’m not being ornery here but whether the reports are true or not, just the idea of it feels to me like it could be true. As for his not going along with Angelina’s plans. . .well, I’m lmao (just found out what that one means today):) at that one. Has there been anything she has wanted to do he hasn’t done?

  18. maggie108 says:

just talking about the original post, justme… (regarding brad and angelina not being happy in namibia)

and yes, Ic – i thought i read something similar about paris.

  19. Mike says:

There is an old saying about Namibia, “You cry when you arrive and you cry when you leave”.

Another saying is “Your home is where your heart is” and this should ring true for Brad.

We are our winter season with temperatures ranging between 18ºC to 24ºC.

Another old saying about Namibia, “It’s the land God made in anger” (mostly used to describe the harsh environment).

  20. Mike says:

Hi JLS…here are some answer to your questions
    1) Answered above
    2) A mosquito net is only required if you travel north, about 700 kilometres from here.
    3) I have an ISDN hook-up and soon will have an ASDL line.
    4) We have DSTV, around 68 channels incl, ESPN, E Entertainment, Animal Planet, Discovery, CNN, etc etc.
    5) Yes there are many activities and it is hard to think of one that we don’t have, you will have to challenge me on that one?

I have been to London, too cold, spent 3 days but will go again with my wife.

  21. Carol says:

I don’t mean to laugh but the idea that Namibia is some backward country still living in the dark ages is just sheer ignorance. Of course they have television, the internet and telephones!

It’s just so obvious that the tabloid media is beyond angry at them for amount of privacy and protection they’ve been given. These are the same recycled stories over and over and over again about Brad hating wherever he is that’s not Malibu or L.A.

  22. viva brangelina says:

    aw, please….
do you think a man who’s dying to be a father for ages and now finally has his own biological child would ever complain about the heat of the place he shares with his new family member???
why are those gossip coloumnists never be smarter?? old news recycling all the time!! how creative!

  23. Mike says:

JLS…on rethink there is one think we don’t have in Namibia and that is Press Freedom.
