“Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we’re still thinking about how we present it.
“It’s a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort’s soul, that shows has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione).
“There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked,” he added.
The Kings Cross scene is necessary, the other, not so much. Feels weird. He also confirmed that they are adding yet another new scene to Deathly Hallows:
“It’s very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It’s a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book – it’s something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing,” said Yates.
Now, this one I can see the point of and it sounds like it will be very poignant and touching. What do you guys think of the first naked scene, though….does it feel unnecessary, or is it something you think will add to the movie?
Seriously?! I can understand the Kings Cross scene but definitely not the Harry/Hermione Horcrux scene. I seem to remember some one saying that the HP movies would be PG-13 TOPS. Two nude scenes, ESPECIALLY one involving Hermione is ridiculous! What? Would Emma be naked too??
I think Dan is taking this too far. Ok, he was naked in Equus… I think that’s enough for now. Honestly, I don’t want to see any nudity in HP… I’ve grown up with Harry Potter and it seems like they’re trying to mature it too far, for no good reason. This will do nothing for the movie, for I think Harry kissing Hermione would be heartbreaking enough for Ron. Let’s hope this part gets cut.

hermioneg247, i have to dissagree with you. i dont feel like each scene is a challenge to the movie ppl to see if it would work to have dan naked. i think equs proved to them that dan is willing to go to great lengths to make the production work. im actually more happy with nudity in the horcrux scene then in kings cross. just think about it: it is painful enough to see the girl youre in love with making out with your best friend, BUT add the nudity part into it, and just imagine the chaos going on within ron. poor bloke, hes gonna loose his mind while harry and hermione loose clothes. i feel that they movie ppl, theyre not gonna show anything innapropriate, like a body part or anything. theyre just film it in a way that looks like theyre naked. emma will probably be wearing something no worse then a bathing suit, and the same for dan. im thinking its all gonna be camera angles. i honestly cannot imagine them filming dan and emma making out completely naked. i feel there would be a problem between the actors. its not gonna happen, not a compeltely naked scene, just looking completely naked. kaite, am i making any sence?

are they going to make him naked kissing hermione or is he going to be naked after coming out of the lake where he went in to get the horcrux? Am I think of the right horcrux that makes ron see these things? I can kind of understand if he is naked coming out of the lake.
Well, I completely agree with hermioneg247. The part about Kings Cross station is quite plain to get through your skull, but seriously a naked scene with Hermione is just not fine. As already said, the feelings of Ron to Hermione is so deep that even a kiss with Harry is enough to break his heart.
I hope not to see that scene when the movie is released.

I agree with all of you about the Kings Cross Station, where Danny will appear naked. but not about the scene where he ha to be kissing Hermione. I mean that scene is taking it too far. It’s bad enough for Ron to see them kiss but do see them kiss when they’re naked also. That’s just one losing your best friend, and two just plain hatred. like you would only do that to him he you really hated him. If hwe has to appear naked twice then it should be when he has to go into the pond to retrieve the horcrux and when Ron saves him, and definitly when he is sdying and talks with Albus.
No he won’t be naked in DH. I wish wriers and fans alike would stop obsessing over this rumor!
all that is highly unnecessary finding this out makes me very worried,when i was reading the book this stuff didn’t come off as that big of a deal but i should have known….i think that these scenes will be VARY awkward.
if the director/producer fallows through with this i think that those scenes will be totally messed up.
plus he has enough to worry about,he’s going to have a hard enough time keeping it pg.13 because of the violence,this is just making it worse

There’s not supposed to be a naked Harry-Hermione thing, that’s just completely wrong. The entire point of the horcrux is to show Ron’s deepest fears, and that’s that Hermione will choose Harry over himself, not that Harry and Hermione will embrace naked. What are these people thinking? It’s disgusting. And if you all will recall, Harry shouldn’t be naked through the entire King’s Cross scene. He suddenly wishes he has clothes, and they appear, and he puts them on. Initial nakedness in that scene would be acceptable. Deathly Hallows is not supposed to be about nudity at all, and the director is obviously misunderstanding something.

AWW.its not a good idea of-course everyone knows it.seriously we want dan and emma to be together but this was not a good idea.harry hermoine kiss is enough.daniel nude scene is necessary in equus but its not a good match in kids film
well i understand the Hermione and Harry scene to make Ron jealous. I mean it’s Ron… Hello?!?! He would get totally jealous if he thinks that about Hermione and Harry and that would make him want to leave/doubt/question things
im not saying they should get naked or anything since it’s a kids movie but still
I will be very disappointed if they make a scene with Hermine and Harry kissing naked. A kiss is enough. I hate when directors ruin movies putting unnecessary sexual scenes because “sex sells”. Harry Potter sells itself because it is a great story, let’s not ruin it.

“Death” in the title,is probably not a kids movie…
Within the novel there are many moments in which characters curse.
For instance Ron uses profanities with joy in his heart as himself Harry and Hermione are on the Great Gold Plated Blind Dragon.

I have often thought that seeing as 17 is the magical age of reaching adulthood.JKR all but intended it to be Rated R.
In part to have that connection to the number17.

As a h/hr shipper.I really couldn`t be more happy about these new scenes and artistic liscene!
I didn`t like hbp all that much,but I found the scenes with Harry and Hermione to be the best thing about it…David Yates did a much better job there than he did with ootp.
I do at times find myself feeling kind of sorry for r/hr shippers though…
But I won`t throw any charity coments there way.As they did with us back in July ‘05.With that what was it called? Ah yes…The Interview of Doom…

I was astonished at how hbp ended with 3:10 sec scene of uninterrupted
dialog betwixt Harry and Hermione
while Ron said absolutely nothing!

P.S I do think Rupert Grint turned in his best performance to date in hbp.

I agree with Ozymandiyz: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is not a kids’ book/film. I mean, it’s great and everything, but the emotional upheaval of death being the main theme and all, I really don’t think children under the age of thirteen should watch it without adult supervision.
So, yeah, the King’s Cross scene is necessary, but I dunno about the Harry/Hermione scene … I agree with the other people saying that kissing is enough … but I think it would just be so much more powerful if the two were naked … I am torn between half and half for this, as I honestly think that if Harry and Hermione were naked, it would cause heaps of chaos amongst viewers, etc, but it would be so much more intense, if they were [naked]. Nudity adds interest … But it might lose its popularity, and its respect (I mean, the movie, not the books … duh).
But I’m leaning towards negative on the first nude scene, because Harry Potter’s vast audience happens to be kids (well, it’s targeted towards everyone, but kids also enjoy the action and fantasy), and I don’t think the ‘rents would be too happy about this unnecessary nude scene.
