A Trip Down Memory Lane - Sofia Vassilieva in Eloise At the Plaza

Sofia Vassilieva has been acting professionally since she was about 9 years old. Of course, since Medium is now going into its sixth season, she has spent most of her career doing this show. However, it certainly isn’t the only thing she’s done. Back in 2003, when Sofia was about 11, she starred as Eloise in Eloise at the Plaza. Eloise was a made-for-TV movie, and was successful enough to warrant another one the same year, called Eloise at Christmastime.

In the clip below, from Eloise at the Plaza, Eloise (Sofia Vassilieva) sings “Oh What a Lovely Morning” with Nanny (Julie Andrews). You guys, prepare for a cute overload.

I just love those two movies! Too bad you can’t bottle the kids and keep them small so they can keep making those delightful movies! I would have liked to have seen more. She co-starred with the super talented Julie Andrews.

  2. Karen

I love these movies too. Sofia was just adorable. I was surprised to read she was eleven during these movies. She looks much younger.

  3. Linda

I haven’t seen these films. She looks much younger than eleven though in that clip.

And getting to work with Dame Julie Andrews, awesome at any age!

I love all Julie Andrew’s movies. Sofia was cute. She does seem to be much younger than eleven in this film. Probably due to the style of dress and little girl haircut with the big bow. Very Sweet !

I saw these movies when they were on tv. Sofia is a born actress as is Maria Lark. Those two girls help make Medium the great show it is because they bring their characters to life in such a normal and believable fashion.

According to IMDB, Sofia was 9 when she was cast for Eloise

Sofia was 11 when it came out, so she was probably 9 or 10 when it was made.
