Ace Young Has Heart

I love American Idol season 5 contestant Ace Young. He has done many good things to bring his fans’ attention to worthy causes. Before I go on, I gotta say that in this pic (with his bro in the back) Ace kinda reminds me of a young John Travolta. Does anyone else see it? Anyway, he has helped Highrollers with Heart reach and surpass their $100,000 goal in just 8 months! The money will go to the Children’s Hospital in Denver. To: The Wonderful Supporters of Highrollers with Heart

When Highrollers with Heart launched on September 1st, 2006, we hoped that Ace’s fans would be as supportive of his charity as they are of him. We hoped to raise $100,000 in 16 months. We hoped to be able to contribute to the Children’s Hospital’s new Family Amenities Area in some small way.

Wow. Thanks to all of you, our hopes were met – and exceeded – with a grand total of $107,300 raised. Ace always says he has the best fans in the world, and you all proved it with your generous and genuine desire to embrace this charity and support its projects.

With your support, Highrollers with Heart has had an incredible 8 months. Together, we:

Raised $15,845 with monthly auctions – thanks to Ace (and some creative fans!) for donating fabulous items, and to all of you for bidding!

Celebrated Ace’s 26th birthday with an exciting Hollywood party and a successful campaign for $26K in 26 Days. Thanks to everyone who helped us reach that awesome goal, and everyone who came to CA to celebrate with Ace.

Created the first ever Ace Young calendar – with photos submitted by fans – and we sold almost ONE THOUSAND of them! Thanks to everyone who took such gorgeous photos and allowed us to use them, and thanks to all of you with an Ace calendar (or 2) hanging up somewhere!

Produced HRwH Valentines from a creation by a patient at Children’s. Thanks to Cruz for designing, Ace for choosing the design, and all of you who bought a pack of these special cards.

Wrapped up Phase One with Ace’s Jags – which produced 243 jaguars for the kids at Children’s! Thanks to all of you who contributed to this project – many of you more than once. It means the world to Ace that he will have a jag for every child when he next visits Children’s.

PASSED the $100,000 goal – eight months early and just in time to announce at Ace’s Chair Award Dinner!
