Adrian Pasdar Interview on Today Show – His Goodbye to HEROES

NUP_137305_0278-heroes-412-the-fifth-stage-adrian-pasdar We heard the news about Adrian Pasdar being cut from HEROES, that Nathan Petrelli was going to die, as in really really really die. But as fans know, no one “really really really dies” on HEROES. At least none of the major characters.

Until tonight. Adrian Pasdar finally said goodbye to HEROES.  For real. His character Nathan Petrelli took his final flight, and fell to his death.

But come to think of it, Nathan Petrelli died every season! He has died at least three times – by nuclear explosion, assassination and throat slitting, and then there were the alternate universe deaths (in possible futures!). Poor guy.

But as Adrian Pasdar told The Today Show earlier, he believes this (“The Fifth Stage”) is his last episode.

But then again, Adrian quickly adds that death isn’t really death on HEROES. Who knows? Adrian tried to hint that the way the writers cut his scene, he may have a small window to come back. “Fingers crossed!”

What Adrian will miss the most are the crew and the folks he spent everyday. It’s great to know there is no ego on HEROES and that’s something to be admired for a show this big. Adrian was also asked about the stunts he did, especially his flying abilities, and Adrian talked about being on a harness, with only a tiny cable suspending him from the ceiling, and no bags to catch him below. Whew, scary!

I would miss Adrian Pasdar terribly. He was such a great factor in the show. He may not have the greatest ability, as Nathan once alluded  – what can flying do? he can’t fight, he can’t defend himself. Still, Nathan Petrelli’s shadiness and self-promotion gave depth to what Nathan did. He certainly wasn’t your average, predictable hero, and you almost can’t tell if he was going to save you because of his kind-heartedness, or his personal gain.

Watching Adrian Pasdar on HEROES, you just know how great an actor he is and I’m sure he’ll do better in his next projects. I wish Adrian all the best in his career!

i believe the greatest mistake in heroes is the death of Nathan Petrelli, of all major characters Nathan should be the last to die. his acting was a piece of talent, i found him unpredictable, kind yet selfish but the only true hero with a urge to do something good. if Nathan returns to heroes it will be acceptable, but should he find himself in another show, maybe his true talent will be seen by those who havent seen it yet.as for me i know Heroes just lost one of its most dedicated fans cuz i only watched that show cuz of him.
