I started writing for AguileraBuff in early July. I post approximately six articles about Christina Aguilera each week and have found that they disappear from view very quickly. It’s that whole ‘out of sight, out of mind’ concept.
To remind you of what I’ve been writing about Christina, and to make sure you didn’t miss anything about Ms. Aguilera, I’ll be writing a weekly AguileraBuff “Round Up” with links to that week’s articles.
For this post, I’ll do a Round Up of all the articles since I started writing in July, just to catch you up on anything you didn’t see or read. It will be a re-cap of July 9th through August 15th. Starting next week, I’ll be posting a Round Up just for the prior week.

This week, I began my series called Christina Aguilera 101:. With not a whole lot of news to report about Christina this summer, I thought it might be a great way to introduce, or reintroduce, readers to Christina and how she got her start. I found great clips of Christina singing at the early age of 8, 10, and 11! The video clips show Christina’s progression from a talented little girl to her acceptance on The New Mickey Mouse Club at age 12.

Week Ending August 2
Christina Aguilera news starts to heat up in August. We get a look at a gorgeous Macy’s ad campaign that Christina is participating in. Check out her dress! We also get a sneak peak at Inspire, Christina’s new perfume debuting on September 1st! Christina Aguilera is also spotted in Los Angeles at a photo shoot for Citizen K magazine. That looks quite interesting!
Finally, there is a great Larry King Live interview between guest host Kathy Griffin and panelists including paparazzi, media and lawyers. In the interview, they discuss the symbiotic relationship between the media/paparazzi and the celebrities. It was a surprise to me that much brokering happens between a celebrity and media outlet to coordinate a seemingly surprising outing by that celebrity. Week Ending August 9
Another slow news week for Christina Aguilera, we get back to our Christina Aguilera 101: series and have the opportunity to watch Christina sing 3 hit songs on The New Mickey Mouse Club. I’ve paired each YouTube clip with the original singer’s video clip so that you can compare Christina’s version, at age 12-14, with that of the seasoned, professional singer!
Christina sings Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing, and in one of my most goose-bump filled moments, I witness Whitney perform I Have Nothing in front of a South African audience, during Whitney’s prime. I sat in awe watching Whitney and recalled why I have always thought that she was one of the best singers in the world. Not to be forgotten, Christina’s performance is simply amazing!

We also get ‘official’ confirmation that Christina Aguilera is going to be a Featured Performer at Fashion Rocks5 on September 5th…or do we?
