Do you remember the infamous 2007 taped voice mail message that Alec Baldwin left for his then 11 year old daughter? The message, where he called her a “rude, thoughtless little pig”, was leaked to the public and made him look like the worst parent ever.
Baldwin is speaking out about that incident and told Playboy magazine (in an issue coming to newsstands June 19th) that he seriously considered taking his life afterward.
“[I was] very serious … I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me. If I committed suicide, they [Kim Basinger’s side] would have considered that a victory. Destroying me was their avowed goal.”

“It will be ironic for some people, but I’m going to write a parenting book,” he told Playboy. “We’re at, not a crisis, but an awful place right now in terms of parenting. People are raising their children with the belief that we need to be friends with our children.”
