Alec Baldwin Plans To Leave ’30 Rock’ After Contract Expires

What will 30 Rock be like without Jack Donaghy? We’ll find out in two years. If the show stays on the air after Alec Baldwin‘s contract expires in 2012, he told CNN he won’t be on it. The actor, who just received another Emmy nod for the role this morning, plans to retire after his contract runs out, much Steve Carell on The Office.

“As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life, a private life,” Alec told the news net in a recent interview. “I think doing this now for a living has become really, really hard. It’s really hard. I would rather go off and do other things…and have a normal life.”
