Alex McCord, the Real Housewives of New York poser who not only lived in Brooklyn (how dreadful), but who also summered in St. Bart’s (when we all know St. Bart’s is for Christmas and the summer is for the Hamptons), is writing a book on urban parenting, along with her husband, famed male thong wearer Simon Van Kempen.
My last memory of the McCords children is Bethenney Frankel looking on in horror as they stabbed her boyfriend’s expensive cheeseburger during the final episode’s dinner party at the 21 Club.
Like I said with Real Atlanta housewife Lisa Wu Hartwell’s party last weekend in Miami, I congratulate reality stars who are taking advantage of the miniscule time they have to capitalize on people knowing their names enough to Google them.
So work it, Alex. Write your book, get your photo taken on the red carpet at the Met like a “real socialite” and work this for all it’s worth.
