Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) is set to guest star in the 2-hour series finale of ER on April 2nd. Alexis will play a new intern, Dr. Julia Wise, as we saw last week in the behind-the-scenes video where Alexis shared how great it was to pretend to be a doctor.
In the all new preview of the ER finale, you can see Alexis struggling to assist when a woman gives birth after being in a car accident. Despite some confusion early on, intern Dr. Julia Wise steps up to deliver the baby! Check it out:
After the first baby is born, Julia shows it to her mother while they move to deliver the second baby. Twins! But a touching moment.

With only 80 or so minutes to go around for all the ER returning alumni as well as wrapping up this year’s cast of characters, it seems probable that this scene is the most interesting action that Alexis will get in the ER finale. Suspect the backstory on how she got picked for this gig would be more interesting than what she actually gets to do and say here!! But maybe this return to episodic TV at least helps set her up for some casting interest in next year’s pilot season.
Saw this clip the other day and I was kinda disappointed that you really can’t hear much other then the women screaming. A different scene might have been better for the preview but it’s nice to see Alexis in action.
Err…maybe they could have picked a different piece of the episode to leak?
