Alexis Bledel on ER Finale

Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls) will be a guest star in the 2-hour series finale of NBC’s ER on April 2nd.

Alexis Bledel will join the cast as a new intern, Dr. Julia Wise. Given that this is the series finale, after 15 years on air, we can assume that the new interns will be part of the way they wrap up the series and give viewers a view of what the future could be.

This is Alexis’ first time on television since the finale of Gilmore Girls nearly two years ago.

Alexis Bledel will be the second Gilmore Girls regular to guest star this season (after Keiko Agena) and though overall many GG stars have appeared (after Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Emily Kuroda, Madchen Amick, and many more!).

I can’t see Alexis being on ER but she did great! I really enjoyed her on Gilmore Girls! I still can’t see her being a doctor on a show but she pulled it off! Great job Alexis! Hope you had fun!

I dont know that many the GG cast were on ER before. That good news for Alexis return on ER 15 year on 2 hours series finale. But I not fan of ER.

Thanks Lynn, I didn’t realize so many had been on either! I guess that’s bound to happen in 15 seasons. ;)

Maybe AB will just focus her TV work on series finales now – figure her last two TV appearances were both in that category. Maybe she is going for some kind of record.

@aix have you ever watched ER? They talk just as fast there as on GG!

The ER finale sounds terrific. I can’t wait. It will be weird though to see AB in a different TV show. I haven’t seen her in anything other than GG. I guess, I should get used to it…

Wow! A good news! I’m excited to see her back on TV. Esp. she won’t be talking in a fast pace than she usually did on Gilmore Girls.

Wow I had no idea how many of the cast members had been on ER. Maybe I’ll tune in and watch, I’m kinda of curious to see how it will go. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since she’s been on televison though.

Alexis is not the 4th GG cast member to guest star on ER. The three mentioned in this article (Paris, Dean, and Lane) did guest star on an episode of ER (actually it’s Keiko Agena’s second time around on ER!), but so did the following:

Liz (Luke’s sister), Miss Patty, Madeline, Mrs. Kim, Francie, Henry Cho, Morey Dell (Babette’s husband), and Sherry (Christopher’s wife).

There may have been more, but that’s what I can come up with off the top of my head. ER is (or at least was) a great show, so I encourage all to watch the reruns and see if you can spot more GG alum on the show!!
