Rumors about the cast leaving “Heroes” hounded over the weekend, and now TV Guide Canada has the scoop about one star who was asked to leave and another who wants out.
Toronto radio station Z103.5 announced this morning that Ali Larter has reportedly been asked to leave Heroes at the end of this season (Fugitives).
Producers apparently feel there’s nothing left to do with Larter’s newest character, Tracy Strauss. They don’t necessarily want to release her from contract, but will potentially kill off Tracy at the end of Volume IV.
Previous to Tracy, Ali Larter’s character (Niki Sanders) was already killed off at the end of season 2. Tracy Strauss emerged as a twin of Niki, but she wasn’t given enough screen time this season. Her powers and personality were much more lame compared to Niki/Jessica’s superstrength and villanous vamp. So it’s no surprise that the producers are going this route for Larter.
But what does it mean “not to be released from contract”? Are we going to see Ali Larter on another NBC show?
Meantime, a reader at ODI mentioned that Kristin of E!Online said something about Hayden Panettiere wanting out of the series too…

Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s a joke. Though nothing is confirmed, the producers have said there will be people leaving the show (or characters dying).
OMG, NOOOO DONT GET RID OF ALI, SHES THE BEST ESPECIALLY NIKI- THE WAY SHE PLAYED THAT CHARACTER WAS BRILLIANT. DONT GET RID OF ALI, IF YOUR GONNA GET RID OF TRACY THEN BRING ALI BACK AS BARBARA ITS ONLY FAR SHE GETS TO DO THAT AND ONLY FAIR BARBARA GETS A CHANCE TO REVEAL WHO ARE CHARACTER REALLY IS-CANT JUST LEAVE ONE SISTER OUT WHEN 2 HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN/PLAYED/ACTED OUT

I hope they will do something with the third sister. Personnaly, I don’t really like Tracy. Niki was a good person, even if she had an evil side. But, she was one of my favorite character, don’t understand why they kill her and put the story about two other twin sisters. Niki was really great.
I miss DL too and I hope Claire wont leave the show, because she’s one of the main characters. She’s really great, I really like her.
With a lot of characters, it’s certain that is not everyone in one episod, but I think it could be great to have Barbara (the third sister) and to keep Claire.
They could do so much of differents storys with those characters, like Molly and Mika whom we don’t see anymore.
totally agree with you KE… niki was the best, but hopefully they will do something for the third sister its only fair…and u gotta love ali larter and yes KEEP claire, they cant egt rid of her that would be crap
Ok something is really messed up, this is the exact same excuse they had for killing off Niki “who have nothing more we can do with the character”.
BS!! There is soo much more, and Ali Larter is one of the main reasons why so many people watch the. Seriously with the mess they made of season 2 and the clean up they had to do for season 3 part one, are the writers intentionally trying to sabotage this show!!!
Seriously, if Tracy doesn’t put her self back together ala Iceman, or if Barbara doesn’t show up I done with this show…
As for Hayden wanting to leave…..I say let her, the girl gets way too much screen time and is really starting to annoy me with the ‘i want to be normal….no, i want to be a hero” stick.

its the 4th sister… btw. nikki JESSICA tracey and barbra. its true though.. the characters can only go so far.. especially if they dont plan on being heroes… or snatching powers like sylar.. ya know? even if the characters are wonderful to watch.. the writers know better than we do.
Getting a great wedding gift is always difficult but recently I have been giving a portrait painting from one of the wedding photos which is a nice personal gift!
