Aliens in America Cancelled

Early word has it that Aliens in America will not be renewed for a Season 2. The CW Upfronts just happened, and the Aliens in America cast were not there.

Despite very rave reviews for one of the best comedies to hit tv in a while (the last episode was one of my favorites!), the show went largely unnoticed by viewers. Sadly, the ratings have sent it the way of The Return of Jezebel James, which barely got off its feet before it was cancelled.

The CW schedule posted on E! Online after the upfronts does not include the Sunday programming, which was never a good place to put Aliens in America in the first place. Word from every corner of the news has it that Aliens in America has been officially cancelled. What a bummer!! I hope Scott Patterson gets another tv role, I’m going to miss seeing him!

Ok-I have to say that the CW has a major problem cancelling shows-I thought the show was good. I have to wonder what they are thinking !!!!!

I am sorry to hear it for Scotts sake but I must admit I never saw it. I vowed to never watch the CW again when they cancelled GG and I am sticking to it. Bring back the girls and just see how many more viewers they get.

I am sad – this is horrible. This is a great show with funny, heartfelt characters. And despite being a sitcom I never felt like it talked down to its audience or dumbed down its issues or characters. Guess it all comes down to dollars and cents at the end but given the quality of this show, I thought it deserved a chance.

I am really annoyed that they canceled this show. It was a really good show and the characters were great. They did however move it to Sundays which I think killed the show. It was at a time that was hard to remember. I hope they reconsider it.

Ah, what a shame. This show was so funny. The CW didn’t advertise the show much. They advertised RERUNS of Gossip Girl more than they advertised the new episodes of AiA. I liked this show because it actually had a plot that was a little different than the usual “Big Family” or “Group of Friends” sitcom. Honestly, once Smallville is over, I can pretty much knock the CW off my TV radar.

They filmed the show at my old high school, H.J Cambie Secondary School, in Canada, ironicly, i actually watched the crew film some of the scenes, all in all, it was a great show
