All My Children : Jesse and Angie, What's Going On So Far

So it has been 4 months(?) since The Hubbard’s historically came back to town. Historically because Jesse has been dead for 20 years. As far as Angie(Debbi Morgan) and AMC fans were concerned, he should be a dusty skeleton by now. Only on Soaps Baby! . Let’s see if we can recap what’s been going on.

Angie discovered that the guy “Quentin” Joe wanted her to treat was actually her son, Frankie. After all the scares and not knowing whether he was going to live, along with Greenlee, Angie discovered an antidote to save the two. All is well that ends well.

Jesse(Darnell Williams) visited his son many times in the hospital. Frankie thought he was hallucinating, until Tad saw an apparition of him also. Jesse finally showed himself to Tad and made him promise to protect Angie and Frankie by keeping his comeback from the dead a secret.

Of course, that didn’t last long once Krystal saw the dead love of Angie’s life hiding in her basement. After a few almost-encounters, Angie and Jesse finally reunited at the train station. Then made love at Jesse’s hiding place.

Jesse explained his “death” and return to Pine Valley as informative as he could. He is just as confused, as we all are of why he was killed and kept himself dead for 20 years. Hence, the quest to find out the truth. Angie, Frankie, Tad and Krystal are all working together to find out why, how, and what really happened 20 years ago. With the occasional ranting and raving from Angie because Tad and Jesse are refusing to involve her(for her safety) and for being stupid in thinking they could both find out what happened without being killed.

Enters Uncle Rob. He is the brother of Tad’s real Father who abused and tormented him and all the people he loves eons of years ago. He’s pretending to be the good Uncle trying to catch up with his nephew when the truth is he is the Big Evil Kahuna, well at least one of them, who wants The Hubbard family on a silver platter. Add that to Tad’s family as well. Right now, Colby and Frankie are kidnapped, tied and gagged into a chair. They’ve untied themselves and are now in the process of escaping. Tad, Jesse and Adam are working together to save their children, respectively. Oh I forgot, Adam was surprised to see Jesse alive. Angie and Krystal are working together to figure out who took Colby and Frankie from the PV Hospital’s parking lot.

We still have the whole month of April before May Sweeps so we might not find out yet what the hell is going on. It’s getting confusing by the minute but I’d take it. For once, my TV is not filled with Kendall and Erica. The week is actually stretched out and divided to show different characters.

So what do you think so far? Is it all what’s been hyped up to be? The return of Jesse after being “dead” for 20 years. I’m guessing there’s going to be one big party in Pine Valley after this damn mystery is solved. “Welcome Back Jessie and Angie“. But we might have to wait for Erica to finish her 6 months sentence so she could host the damn party. Freaking ‘Ey!
