We know celebs like to top each other. But this is ridiculous!
We’re talking about the TWIN TREND here, of course, and J-Lo may have been at the front of it all. Then again, isn’t she always?
But Jen isn’t the only celeb to have twins. Recently it makes me wonder what’s in the Hollywood water. For instance, the Star is reporting that Lisa Marie Presley is the latest celeb to be preggers with twins.
Angelina Jolie is rumored to be with twins:
and so is Jessica Alba.
Marcia Cross recently had a twosome, as did Nancy Grace, and soccer star Mia Hamm.
So why all the double births? Like many women who struggle to get pregnant, Jennifer Lopez is rumored to have had fertility treatments, which could account for a double birth.
But clearly, having twins has become the latest Hollywood “trend.” It’s not one everyone can (or should) jump on, but it’s definitely a curious thing to have happen all of a sudden.
And while having twins is normally a very happy occassion, there are times when things turn dark. After all, having twins is a bit more risky than delivering one baby alone. Dennis Quaid and his wife recently had twins (and have been very public about suing the hospital where they administered an overdose of medication to the newborns), and I just caught an incredibly sad story about Sherri Shepherd’s recent miscarriage. She, also, was pregnant with twins.
Funny thing is…my daughter & I were discussing how so many stars are in the twin business. We were wondering what they were doing as this seemed not the ordinary.
Marlene – no kidding – it makes you wonder! Something in the water? Extra fertility treatments?
I actually find this whole thing so strange I am surprised a study hasn’t been done on it or it hasn’t been investigated. Now Charlie Sheen is having Twins, Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn just had twins, Julia Roberts had twins several years ago and there are more. This can’t be normal.
Beverly: I’m with you there! All those twins seem like more than a coincidence.
