They clearly have this fixed and pour accolades on the younger kids, given the 'Sanjaya' efffect. A guy pushing 30, with a soulful voice, they see visions of Taylor Hicks (who hasn't sold very many albums) so they give this guy the crap for it. Clearly, this guy is better vocally than Taylor, and all the other contestants, in my opinion. I hear elements of the great Steve Winwood in his voice, also Clay and even some Ruben Stoddard. Just perfect clarity, control and soul. People are so stuck on image they can't just listen. It also doesn't seem to matter that he is the most multi-talented musician, with being able to play three instruments too.
