Kristy Lee Cook was born in 1984 and is singing “God Bless The USA” and I did not like it. I’m sorry. That modulation at the end was sloppy and didn’t help. I think she’s cute and has a future but I think she should go home. I think she used this song to try to stay around. Randy said he loved that song and he thought it was a very nice performance. Paula said it was a good song choice but said she had seen better performances from her. Simon said it was her best performance by a mile and that it was a clever song choice.

CelebrityCatch.tv: The moment Kristy sang the song it put a smile…
I thought she did a great job! Since she’s “gone county,” I think she’s done much better.
She is not my favorite performer, but I think she has taken a lot of undeserved criticism — probably stemming from Simon’s remarks.
If she can stay country and find her own voice, she will go far. My only real knock on her is originality. I don’t hear the unique element in her voice that I hear with several others, like Brooke White, David Cook, and Jason Castro.
I think she has the talent, but needs to find herself.
Good Luck!
I have to agree with you Kristen. Besides, they have to keep her around another week to justify how the heck she made it to top 10. It sure wasn’t vote totals that put her there.
I tend to agree with you and Simon: it was probably he best performance, however mediocre, but a great strategic song choice. Bet it keeps her on another week…
