Jason Castro sang “Michelle” and I didn’t think it was the best performance. He reminds me a bit of John Travolta when he was young (my husband said he sees and Egyptian pharoah – don’t ask!). Randy said it was a good choice but it was a little subdued. Paula said she has a really distinct charm but said that he seemed disconnected since he was away from his guitar. Simon said that his face sold the performance but the vocals were not great

He wasn’t the best tonight but in my opinion he is exactly what the next American Idol should be! He doesn’t scream, prance on stage like so many others, we have enough wanna-be rockers. Why can’t the “next Idol” be sweet, sexy without even knowing, and perhaps like Simon said…a little goofy. I’m old enough to be his grandma but he’s the reason I’ve watched each week. Jason, you are Brilliant..now own it!
