This was a great show. I loved the Neil Diamond songs! David Cook really shined. I didn’t agree that Brooke kicked butt on the second song, I think she stunk on both songs and should go home this week. Although Simons’s comment at the end will probably have people NOT voting for Syesha. And Archuleta is good but he’s getting very boring. It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen that great “Imagine” performance.
Jeanne: Here is the link to the video of Cook in his high school play. He is quite the acrobat as well as a great vocalist! Thanks for the great job with the live blog!

Sad but is true, no matter how well Syesha’s performances were, she is always in the bottom 2 or 3. I think this gal can sing
I usually don’t agree with the majority and its unintentional, but to me Syesha is the best singer in the bunch. Why they ride her is beyond me, except maybe to influence the audience. D.Archuletta can sing, but he’s no entertainer,has no range either. D.Cook is alright,if he had competition I don’t think everyone would be going wild over him. Boring season!
We have had enough of Jason Casto. He should really go now. I hope Brooke White stays. She should just keep on staying on the piano and hopefully do away with the band.

Jason really is distinctive with his style in singing, but I think he didn’t even thought of being spectacular this week… It really hurts when you are a fan of someone, then suddenly your idol like never itches to win anymore… :’( still, no other contestant in this season connects to the audience like him… although he didn’t really make a big effort to do so… you know, just try to close your eyes and listen to him… sends every word in the song directly to your senses… and when you open your eyes… hmmm… beautiful sight!
With the Neil Diamond week… I think everyone should go, except for David Cook! He’s looking more glamorous each week. He can go on a world tour doing all the songs he sang in AI!
Syesha, her voice is wonderful. Yeah she can belt it out but there’s not much power to convince anyone who knows about singing that she’s one of a kind.
Brooke is Brooke… Her vocal range is just as that… uhmmm… yeah… 1st song really was a nightmare… the 2nd… was quite good… that’s the best she can do with it… as always she appears to be sincere in every song.
David Archuleta, if you had a very long day and you sit on a couch, turn on the television… and catch David performing a quite up beat song… it’ll remind you about a singing chorale who never sounded as a group. He’s like eating all the lyric and singing to himself… he’s a good singer doing ballad… but hey… in this department, Brooke and Jason sounds so better! I’m got so bored listening!
