This song is to be sung deep and mournful and pleading. If she needed to get in to character she should have pulled a donna summer and went in a dark room first and then come out to sing it. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe being first affected her. Slower would have been better too. Simon's comments about the fiddle player were off the wall - he didn't seem to be himself that night either -or maybe that is real self, I don't know!
