American Idol Audition Video – Chris Bernheisel

Chris Bernheisel was the first audition and it may not have gone the way he was hoping but he won me over and got something good out of it.  He arrived bearing gifts for the judges and pictures of him with his idol, Kelly Clarkson.

He sang, “Since U Been Gone” and all I have to say is thank goodness he had such a good personality!  When it was clear that he would not be advancing to the Hollywood round, he asked to audition as a red carpet correspondent.  Simon Cowell liked him so much that he told Chris he wanted him to cover the finale on behalf of his local Fox station affiliate.  He was so excited!  I think it was a great trade-off!
