Do you remember when Katharine McPhee auditioned for the fifth season of American Idol. She sang “God Bless the Child” and Simon said that parts of it were absolutely fantastic, Randy said it was the best audition he had heard so far that season and Paula told her that her mother would be proud. They said so many great things to her and she couldn’t hold back the tears. Relive it:

Her audition gave me goosebumps, and her debt album- incredible! Bad cover, but there’s a single cover that captures her essence.
The sexypot image always should be the third album.. the music gets over shadowed if not. You did forget what that jack ass said- you were not current..but- that’s A&R..not your doing I’m sure.
The album is great- just got lost.
remember, we are told what to buy..not talent… so careful…
You should be as big as Kelly- Kelly stole our hearts because she kept true to her initial appeal.
Talent- my god Katherine!! And 21…(at time of audition….you’re cover made you look late 30′s.. another reason… I would have not even heard of you unless I didn’t steal a buddies room-mates iTunes) AND WHAT A LOSS that would have been.

Or maybe you didn’t get the support like KC’s My December.. and that was awesome. Showed Kelly has talent but also integrity.
