   Sorry, but if it wasn’t for Clay and Ruben in AI2 that show would have flopped after the first season! Those two are the ones that got everybody watching.

   And Clay is still the best Male tenor vocalist to grace that stage.

   I say tenor, because there are others who were baratones, who are also very, very good. But no tenor has topped Clay.

   Scott, I am sure you noticed that everyone who made the final 12 or even the final 32 is getting more time in the Hollywood week. Clay and Ruben got equal time, and next week the girls will get more time.

   Clay is narrating the series and that was 19′s choice, so you just have to accept it.

   Heh, I taped this as well and watched the whole show the otehr night when I had some pain and could not sleep.

   It is like a whole different show because now they know who the final 12 are and aren’t guessoing so they have taken the center of this week and refocused it on those who do go through. I loved it. Bad auditions – blech, regular AI hollywood week – blech – this reedited version is great. I can’t wait to see the women next week! AI tends to predict who the puclic will love every year, and get it wrong.

   I doubt there is much new they can show us in the regular competition though since those were live shows, although they could fix the show running over time.

   I have been TIVOing and watching this AI2 rewind and it has been great!

   This week especially because Clay really showed early on what a remarkable vocalist he is and what wonderful stage presence he has. He has only gotten better over the past four years!

   And it was GREAT hearing Ruben’s wonderful smooth voice again!

   AI2 really was the best!!
