American Idol Season 7 Audition – Blake Boshnack

Blake Boshnack Blake Boshnack has auditioned in at least 10 cities but is probably most recognizable from season 5  when he auditioned in Chicago dressed as the Statue of Liberty.  His mother wants him to be the next Idol as much, if not more, than Blake does and takes him to every audition.

He sang "Stand By Me" and all of them said "no."  I actually didn’t think he was as bad as they said.

I thought he was pretty good, certainly better than a couple of them that went through. Maybe the judges couldn’t get past the Statue of Liberty costume he wore previously. I’m not sure why people who can sing even do the costume thing. Has anybody in a costume ever been put through to Hollywood?

i didn’t think he was bad at all, but the season with the statue of liberty was a bit too much of a costume. but i think the judges need to get past the previous auditions, he was better this year. i thought it wasn’t really bad at all actually. not the best audition of the city, but BY FAR not the worst, like the judges made it sound.

I am actually Blake’s brother. If you watch the video, I am the guy in the background when he comes out the door with my pretty blond girlfriend. Blake is persistent, let me tell you! He sang my ears off growing up as kids in the same house hold. Plan on seeing him again every year! He means it.
