Lyndsey Goodwin is a pilot for the US Air Force and I had high hopes for her. Simon, of course, commented on the fact that she didn’t look like a pilot, lol.
She sang "Black Velvet" and I didn’t actually think it was that bad but she was extremely nervous and it showed. All of the judges said "no."

I’ve seen lesser talent make it further than this. What’s up with American Idol, anyway? Are they anti-military?
She should of made it, she is amazing!
She has done so much for our country and has a gorgeous voice!

Jeanne – I loved this girl’s voice AND her story, and was really ticked when they didn’t let her through! Seems like they let a lot of others through with far lesser voices and/or personalities. Argh!
