Ugh… I feel like I had too much to drink last night. Looking over my comments and writing from last night, it looks like I had to much to drink, which is crazy because I don’t drink. All the same, I’ve got an American Idol hangover. Last night was terrible. Blake Lewis made a mistake to sing that Maroon 5 song and then was giving that ridiculous tailor-made song, “This is My Now” to sing and looked terribly uncomfortable. Jordin Sparks did not sing Christina Aguilera’s song “Fighter” very well and that horrible “This is My Now” suited her so well, she may as well have written it herself. Here’s a funny quote I read this morning:
USA Today: Jordin Sparks can handle a saccharine ballad with ease, and even threw in a little extra artificial sweetener by sobbing a bit to finish it up — but not before she had soared through the chorus and hit a crowd-pleasing glory note toward the end. *Sigh*
I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING THIS IS A SINGING COMPETITION – IF THAT WERE TRUE, MELINDA WOULD HAVE WON. PERIOD. In fact, I’m honestly bewildered. I don’t even know what to make of this finale but I am ultimately, sadly disappointed. With Jordin’s bad first song and Blake’s bad second song it really came down to that last song and I just don’t think it was fair. Oh well. That’s life, isn’t it? Simon Cowell had this to say last night: “I can understand why they (Sparks and Lewis) both made it. But I would have happily swapped either of them for Melinda, to be honest with you…They’re nice kids. But I would have liked to have seen one of them up against the big singer.”

No denying if people wanted the best singer to win they would have voted for Melinda to win this thing. I hate it when people start saying that singing is what it is all about! You need to have it all I do’t think Jordin has IT. Blake can sing, dance, beatbox, look cute, be creative and unique! Jordin cannot! God forbid she ever be creative!!! Sorry, I’m just ANGRY!
Damn.Lauren why are u hatin on Jordin??Who gives a flip that Blake can beatbox.I know he is a good beatboxer but AI is about singing not making beats.Damn this is why so many ppl stopped watching AI cuz they don’t do ppl rite.Like 4 instance when they voted the best singer off last season and that person was Paris.So u need 2 stop hatin on Jordin.
