American Idol “Where Are They Now” – Mikalah Gordon

Mikalah Gordon, appeared during season 4 of American Idol and, although she was eventually voted off, she is still working hard to make it in the biz. She was only 16 years old at the time but she’s 19 now and maturing nicely.

Here’s a list of things Mikalah has done since leaving Idol:

• Guest-starred on the short-lived sitcom Living with Fran with Fran Drescher
• Hired by Tyra Banks as a Tyra Show correspondent
• Is the co-host of American Idol Extra
• Currently in the early stages of producing an album
• Was on NBC’s Identity in April 2007 as an “American Idol Finalist”

Wikipedia (I know, yuck, but take it or leave it) also listed the following:

• Mikalah recently affirmed that she is in fact a virgin, denying rumors that had spread across the internet about her sexuality. She also released a letter to a blogger stating that much of her experience with American Idol had been under a cloud of severe depression. The letter is posted on her website. Mikalah has stated that she hopes to be an inspiration to young people who deal with depression and life issues.
• On August 23, 2006, Mikalah was assaulted in Las Vegas during a robbery at gunpoint at 3:30 a.m near Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue. Her mother, Victoria Cavaricci, said “Police said she’s so lucky she’s alive.”
