Yesterday, we saw the season finale of America’s Most Smartest Model. It came down to Andre, the Russian and VJ the schemer. VJ was victorious.
Personally, I’m just glad that Andre didn’t win. He just seems like a violent, angry person and I hate to see someone like that win.
Now the the season is over, VJ was interviewed about his strategy in the game and what he’ll do with the money he won. Here’s a short excerpt:
Your scheming played a big role in your victory. Did you enter the house with such strategy in mind?
I didn’t have that in my mind. I didn’t say, “This is what I’m gonna do and this is how I’m gonna do it.” But what I always said is that I was the only person who had winning in his mind. I was the only person in there who believed I’m gonna go in there and I’m gonna win. And that’s the only thing I wanted to do. If someone wants to give me a b***j** while I’m at it, right on! But I never let that get away from me. It was an upper hand on everyone else in the house because they were busy being friends. It wasn’t a popularity contest. Not for me. I didn’t care about how they were gonna make me look. I knew that I wanted to go there, and I wanted to win $100,000 dollars. And I did it.

There were many times in which your behavior was considered cheating by your competitors, like when you were eavesdropping on Daniel and Rachael’s rehearsal of the soap commercial. Were you ever afraid that you’d get in trouble?
Not at all.
Mary Alice obviously supported you 100 percent.
Yeah. Matt who was a company manager or whatever of the product said something that was just so perfect: ultimately, the client just wants somebody who delivers the product well. And they don’t care how they did it, they just care that when they deliver, it’s believable. They don’t care how they obtain information, what’s going on behind scenes, but when you’re on camera selling the product, they want the person that is best.

I was soooo upset when I saw that VJ won. He was CLEARLY not a model and did an awful job in his pictures. He may have managed to pull off things like public speaking but that’s not a special skill that pertains to just models. Although Andre had a volatile personality, he learned to control it and was able to win over the affection of his housemates by the end of the show. I think that VJ is such a tool and he really doesn’t deserve it. (I actually really had hoped that Pickel would win) I mean seriously, “If someone wants to give me a b***j** while I’m at it, right on!” That is SO degrading and only an asshole would say that in an interview.
VJ did NOT dserve to win. his constant cheating took him to the top, but can he really make it in the modeling world? there won’t be other models there to “observe” and to get “ideas” from. honestly, VJ, a “model”? five months of modeling should discourage clients. when he gets jobs and takes bad frames, they wont want to put up with it. andre deserved to win America’s Most Smartest Model. he changed the most throughout the episodes. he went from the most hated and angry, to evryone’s friend and learned how to control his anger. not only that, but he completed the contest the RIGHT way; the HONEST way. and for that, i salute the soviet.
It’s pretty bad that a reality show from MTV, which is a channel watched by millions of young kids all over the country, promote people with this kind of attitude (no ethics at all)…
i hate vj. He sucks, this just shows cheaters always win. i went from hating andre to hoping he would beat that toolbag.

i agree with most of ya, VJ sucks. over in new zealand, we only just saw the final…. (yeah, i know, rib us a bit about how backward we are) but really…. VJ????? bleugh. Soviet Rule!

Andre rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is really macho and with a lot of great ideas to use in his pictures. He is diferent from all the other contestants whose pitures could have been made by anyone. Andre is great and VJ sucks. I wish the only word he could say when he trys to speak is “fried fish” and he dies

Hi. Well, I’m from Mexico. And we’re watching the show on VH1 Latin America, and here I have had bad feelings about VJ’s triumph (I read it on Wikipedia). My favorite was Andre, so Í’m really disappointed about Mary Alice’s support on VJ’s participation. And I was watching that people in USA (like Mary Alice) doesn’t recognize famous brands like BOSS (here in Mexico is very well known, thanks of it’s campaigns and announcements). So, I’m just watching the show to see how the alliance vs VJ’s works. See ya!!!
