hi my name is erica. and i auditioned for america’s next top model and made the first cut when i was freshly 18! i was there for hours and yes it does feel like you dont actually auditioned. I first stood in a long line then got to go in after i showed my cali id then you are given a stamp which says america’s next top model on it and a number mine was 3269. you are then rushed off to a sitting area where you asked waiting and waiting but are also asked questions by a allowed host for tv. After a few hours passed my group of 50 was called up we walked which seemed like forever to a small room. I was dressed like a normally was but other girls i believe tried to hard to impress wearing hooker heels and short short dresses tones of make up etc. my just a shirt shorts converse hair in a pony tail and not so much make up just alittle foundation and eyeliner. Lots of girls posed and smiled wide! i just stood there,they made us stand so close to eachother you could lay on the girl infront of you. you are then asked to put your number on your right and put your stuff infront of you. they ask you to state your name height weight and where your from clearly. then comes down to the crucial moments if your number will be called. They told the ladies and myself if your number isnt called then you can leave, As they called each number i saw the disappointed faces in some girls. And as i thought maybe i wont be called i heard ” 3269″ the last number i instantly looked down at my number and there it was 3269. out of my group of 50 only at least 4-6 girls were called. After that i was put in another room where cell phones wont allowed but i was so excited i quietly called my dad and mom to tell them. We were then taken to another one were the casting crew was. We yet again stood in a line saying the same thing but only thing was it was infront of a live filming camera. SO thats when my stage fright hit. I walked infront if it and BLANKED! so i didnt make the next round but i got interviewed by a tv crew after :D….But i think they should actually let us do everything there shouldnt be rounds just state everything and then the runway walk. Everything has changed with the casting of antm, i recently got the cycle 17 application and its basically asking model questions like what kind of modeling have you done. Its not like how it was before when you could just go to a audition now its invite only. I model now so that way i at least have a fighting chance to try out again maybe. Its easier to send in a tape then go to a audition at least on the tape you can do everything. But like tyra said you dont need america’s next top model to be a model.

i have learned the height and age restrictions from cycle 9.. i was wondering if there has been a change in any of these or if there will be one.

Heyy there!! im dezirae, and all i wnt 4 my futuree is to be AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL!!! im only 15 at the moment, and i graduate in 2013! but i assure u, i want this more than anything in the world and i will work so hard to prove it!! im 5 ft 7 1/2 (yea nt that tall.. bt hopefully i’ll grow sum more lol) the point is, wen i graduate, im gonna do anything and everything it takes to go in americas next top model! im gona b a star!! bt i need help ta get there, pls help

Hey! My name is Hannah and I live in the small town of Chesapeake, Ohio. I want to be a model so bad. Im not really that tall(only 5 feet 7.5 inches tall), but I am soo easy to work with. I am only 14 years old, and graduate in 2013. I was wonderin if I absolutely have to send in an audition tape when I audition, and where to send it of I do.
