So what are America’s toughest jobs? Could you fill the shoes of those who do some of the most challenging and dangerous jobs on earth?
From creator/executive producer Thom Beers (Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers) and executive producers Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, America’s Toughest Jobs on NBC is a new extreme competition series that will test 13 men and women who venture out of their safe and comfortable careers to see if they are tough enjoy to handle jobs that require guts and stamina.
Scheduled to premiere on NBC on Aug. 25 on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET, contestants will have to try their hand at jobs ranging from logging in the Oregon forest to oil drilling on the Texas range to driving icy roads to extreme fishing.
At the end of each episode, their new bosses and co-workers will determine the successes and failures, and those who don’t make the grade will be sent home.
To make it all worthwhile, the annual salary of each job will be thrown in the pot until the finale – where one rookie will take home the well-earned cash.
America’s Toughest Jobs will be hosted by Josh Temple of TLC’s Backyard Nation.
