i am a catholic teen girl,17 and at my parish girls wear all white outfits for baptism,first communion and confirmatiom.the diapers and plastic pants the girls wear are an important part of their symbolizing their purity of an infant.i made my first communion at 8 and wore the cloth diaper and toddler plastic pants under my dress.i was confirmed last may and me and all the other girls wore puffy white floor length dresses with veils,tights under shirt,and a cloth diaper and plastic pants under our tights.we all felt very pure and innocent like when we were baptized as babies.i have known girls from other parishes who wore a diaper and plastic pants under their dresses also.

i agree with don,having been raised roman catholic and made my first holy communion at age 13,i had to wear a cloth diaper and plastic pants as did all the girls in my class,under my dress.they do make girls feel more pure for their communion and baptisms.i wear my communion diaper and plastic pants too mass once in a while as wellas for special occasions.i know of a few other girls who were in my class that wear them also.they make girls feel cute and little girlish when we want to be that way at times.

alltoomuch,i am not trolling,i am expressing my experiences of when i was growing up.i lived near a catholic church and would see the girls in their first communion outfits and would see them showing other girls their cloth diapers and plastic pants.the girls wore the playtex toddler extra large size plastic pants over their communion diapers.me buddies and i would see the green and white boxes the plastic pants come in in the trash the next day. the moms would put the diaper and plastic pants on them in the bridal dressing before the ceremony.
