If you let the first season of the New Jersey salon-based reality show Jerseylicious pass by, you might be confused if you stumble upon this gem while flipping past the Style Network on a Sunday night. You will probably have many questions, such as, ‘Are they for real?’ ‘Why are they wearing so much eye makeup?’ and ‘Why does the one with the big hair hate the short one with the animal print fetish so much?’ Here at Crushable, we can answer all your questions. (And the answers to those questions are: yes, because it’s Jersey and how much time do you have?) Here, we offer a handy primer to help you get through the second season of Jerseylicious with ease, even if you’ve never seen the show before.
The Gatsby — The salon where all the cast members work. The Gatsby is a fine New Jersey establishment owned by Gail Giacomo and her daughter Christy Pereira, which offers hair and makeup treatments as well as spray tans. Last season, Gail and Christy needed to hire new staff for their newly renovated salon, and brought on Alexa and Olivia to do makeup and Gigi, Tracy and Anthony to do hair. Season 2 opens with Christy nearly eight months pregnant and Gail on crutches because she tore her calf muscle on the elliptical.
The Glam Fairy — In Season 1, Alexa Prisco joined the forces of her company, The Glam Fairy, with the Gatsby to provide makeup to the Gatsby’s clients. Alexa provides on-location makeup application to clients around the tristate area, and frequently boasts about her abilities as an entrepreneur and makeup artists, and mentions her signed, custom Louboutin boots. After first butting heads with Gatsby makeup artists Olivia Blois Sharpe, Alexa hired her to work for The Glam Fairy. This season, we see that Alexa’s also hired Olivia’s roommate, Briella Calafiore, to do hair for her company.
The Tracy-Olivia Feud — The story behind this ongoing girl fight stems from — what else — a boy. Gatsby hairstylist Tracy DiMarco‘s boyfriend once dated Olivia, and that somehow gives Tracy the right to abuse Olivia and wish her dead. Although the two bonded last season when a New York stylist told them to lose their fake nails and Jersey-fied hair, makeup and clothes, they were back at it in the Season 2 opener. But, Tracy seems to be on the outs with her boyfriend, although it seems doubtful that a breakup with him would bring her closer to her mortal enemy, Olivia.
Anthony Robert Salon — Bald hairstylist Anthony Lombardi joined the Gatsby team while his salon underwent construction. Now that his salon is getting ready to open its doors will he leave the Gatsby behind?
Gigi and Frankie — Gatsby hairstylist Gigi Liscio only wants one thing: to settle down and have babies with her guido boyfriend Frankie Buglione. Frankie’s not ready for all that, and tells her that frequently while sitting at his parents’ kitchen table eating meatballs and smoking cigarettes. But last season, Frankie gave Gigi a “promise ring” — as in, “I promise to be a better boyfriend, not to marry you any time soon so don’t get any funny ideas” — in the Dunkin Donuts where they first met. That’s sweet, right? Now, Gigi looks like she’s dropped some weight and highlighted her hair, and she’s looking good. But will Frankie step up to the plate?
Filly — Once an intern at The Gatsby, Filippo Giove has now moved on to perform spray tans for the salon’s eager and pale clientèle. Also, he comes from a family of pizza makers in Staten Island, which is how he got the nickname “Pizza Prince.”

Tracy really is a b**** to olivia.. And i feel like brielle stabbed her in the back this season… I hope gigi n frankie gt back together :(….
I love Olivia, Frankie and GG. But Tracy is so fake she think she own the show. I think Frankie and GG should get marry and have some babies. i think Frankie should come down a lil bit because he too jealous.
Has it ever said what Frankie does for a living? Does he still live at home?
@ jani i have to totally agree with you! i love frankie and Gigi they truly are the stars of the show! i love the scenes of frankie” house mom, dad, brother, him and G i just love it!!! sitting around the table with a home cooked meal his mother has prepared with love! it’s like watching a good movie you want to never end!!! a huuuuge fan! ( i don”t miss a episode)!!!!
I love Olivia, she is so that. Tracy is such a bi@#h, She needs to grow up and stop being so jeolous of Olivia. Tracy wants everything Olivia has. I love Gigi but I really don’t think Frankie is right for her, he needs to realise that Gigi wants things (such as children and marriage)
Gigi and Frankie steal the show, I think. I love the scenes sitting around his parent’s house the best. I LOVE his parent’s – they need a spin off reality show. It’s like a mini modern daynon-violent Godfather, I can’t take it. “I wanna eat”…LOVE IT..I am stunned families like this still exist..ha ha…just so different from my life and so amusing. I want to meet these people, I am obsessed. I work SO MUCH, and so hard..this show is my delicious escape and I relax. Truly my guilty pleasure. Frankie and Gigi are met to be, no doubt..one day we will watch their wedding on “Jerseylicious”. Love them all. Some more than others but LOVE THEM ALL.
I think Frankie is sweet. So he’s a lil jealous. He truly loves G. i think. I mean, yeah he was pissed, but how many men do YOU know that would leave “the boys” to try to find someone on the beach! I love G, and I understand her point as well, however, i really think, deep down, that she is Frankie’s only love.
