An Olsen-Infused Fearful Symmetry

Audrey Niffenegger, the author of the best-selling The Time Traveler’s Wife, has a new book out. Her Fearful Symmetry is about American twins Julia and Valentina Poole who are left a house in London by their eccentric aunt.

Naturally, this book is selling like crazy and a film adaptation is being discussed. Who does Audrey imagine playing Julia and Valentina? Why, Mary-Kate and Ashley!

Audrey discusses this wish with the Salt Lake Tribune:

It’s been reported that you’ve got your heart set on Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen playing the twins for a likely film adaptation of Symmetry . How’s that coming along?

No word yet, but they do look perfect. They’re tiny, with heart-shaped faces and big eyes. They’ve also got great fashion sense.

Ashley’s made it pretty clear that her acting career is over — for now. But maybe she’d make a comeback for a project like this. The Time Traveler’s Wife was a stunning book and movie. I haven’t read Her Fearful Symmetry yet, but am assuming it’s similar! I’d love to see MK and Ashley on the big screen together again.
