As many of you will remember, there was a lot of talk that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did In Vitro Fertilization to conceive twins, and even rumors that they had purposely chosen to have one boy and one girl. IVF is a wonderful advance to help parents who are struggling with infertility, but it is not usually taken lightly. Also, while IVF has helped many families, and is thus a positive thing, the problem was that the tabloids and blogs were twisting it into something negative, saying they were controlling how many babies they had and whether they were boys or girls. That was why I refused to post about it at the time.
However, in the interview, Hello asked them directly and Angelina cleared the air.
There were reports that the twins were conceived through IVF. Would you like to comment on that?
Angelina: If they had been conceived through IVF we would have been happy to discuss it. But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems.
I know not everyone is going to believe that, which is fine. But I have to figure, Angelina is so outspoken and so blunt about everything else in her life. If she had indeed had fertility problems and they had gone the IVF route with a successful outcome (after all, there’s no guarantee!), then I feel pretty sure that she would have talked about it with pride and honesty.
So, I guess the tabloids will have to put their thinking hats on and come up with some new garbage instead!

Hello? My comment is under moderation about ethical & decenies in unrealiable magazine articles. What I wrote was credible information, and I believe reality bites when the truth is out.

I don’t see why they would do it anyway as seen as they would’ve been just as happy with one baby. I never believed it and even if they did i know Ange would speak about it. There’s no reason for her to be ashamed she’s a wonderful, inspirational woman. It’s just a blessing i think :)

To everyone who says that twins have to be hereditary: that’s not true. Sometimes women have twins even when no one in their family has previously had twins. Having twins on the mother’s side increases the chances, but isn’t the only determining factor.

Brandie, Sherry explains moderation in the Pittwatch Comment Policy http://www.pittwatch.com/pittwatch-comment-polic Sherry gave a more detailed explanation in one of the threads, but I can’t remember which.
I get moderated about 65% of the time; Victoria is/was moderated all the time.

MARYANN, thanks. i’m out of the hospital. i was the passenger and i was wearing helmet so i just got cut and bruises on my leg. i’ve also seen j.lo & marc’s photospread – it was too glamorous and too choreographed (in my opinion only).
IRMA, thank you so much for your concern :) i am trying to get a lot of rest but i sometimes just can’t help but visit this site. :)
LIGAYA, thanks for the link. so you’re making a scrapbook of them? nice. i would love too see it… and is your mom a fan of the JPs too?

Hi, Angela. :-) Yes, my mom’s a fan of Angelina – but not as active as me (her church activities keep her busy). She really enjoyed the Shiloh issue.
Heh, maybe if there’s a Jolie-Pitt fan convention someday I can show you the scrapbook & art collage. :-) Or maybe at a Pittwatch reunion. ;-)
