Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn’t stick around Los Angeles for very long after the Oscars wrapped. With filming for Salt ready to go , the Jolie-Pitt family was back in New York in short order.
Despite the fact that she’ll be working hard on her spy flick, Angelina was able to join Brad while they took Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh into New York City to see a production of “The Little Mermaid” on Broadway.
What a fun outing for the kids! I’d love to take my kids to see a fun Broadway children’s show – I hope they enjoyed it!

Meanwhile, prior to their outing today, Angelina Jolie arrived with Liev Schreiber at a Long Island warehouse to start filming Salt yesterday. Photographers attempted to catch them as they got there but security created a photo barricade with their vehicles to stop that. I guess they don’t want to give too much away before the movie wraps!

Brad Pitt has a reason to smile despite losing out on the Best Actor Oscar on Sunday – he’s been sent a solid dark chocolate bust in his likeness as a consolation prize from deodorant brand Axe.
The Hollywood star was nominated for an Academy Award his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but lost out to Sean Penn for his performance in Milk.
Bosses at Axe decided to reward Pitt with a statuette of his own – and the sweet treat, to promote their new Dark Temptation fragrance, weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms).
An accompanying note read: “We still feel your performance deserves a statue, one that’s a bit sweeter.”

Awww, they’re all getting so big! I know this may sound weird, but I’m glad we got to see Zee’s pretty hair this time. The other two recent times she’s been photographed (going to Lee’s Art Shop with Shi and Angie and at the airport in Japan), she was wearing a hood.
In about the fifth picture up (not counting the picture of the warehouse), Zee looks like she could be a model! Unfourtnately, it also looks like she was squinting or blinking because of all the camera flashes. :(
In the first picture, Shi looks a lot like Brad, but I can see some Angie in her as well! I, too, hope we’ll see the twins soon. However, I think we need to prepare for the fact that we probably won’t be seeing much of them until their first birthday, just as was the case with Shiloh.
I can’t say I blame Brad and Angie for wanting to shield the twins, either. I mean, remember the looks on Knox and Viv’s faces at the airport? You can tell that they were shocked and confused by all the camera flashes. Not to mention all the people screaming at them in the video!
Looking at those pictures and vidoes makes me go: “And people wonder why they rarely took Shiloh out when she was a baby!” Also, thinking about the situation with the paps has made me realize that Maddox is the only J-P kid who has never had that bemused, confused expression on his face.
Knox and Viv had it in the airport pictures, Shi had it when she was a baby, Zee had it when she was a baby, and, looking back at old photos of the J-Ps has made me recently realize that even Pax had that expression at first.
Maddox, on the other hand, is smiling in almost all of the pap pictures of him as a baby. I think that’s because, when it was just he and Angie, they didn’t get followed by nearly as many paps as the family does now (in fact, I think Angie even once said that the paps followed her and Maddox “maybe one at a time” when it was just the two of them).
It also seems like the paps that DID follow them tended to keep their distance and be a lot more respectiful than they are now (many pap pictures of Angie and Maddox as a baby look like they were taken with a long-lens from across the street, or at the very least not right up in Angie and Mad’s faces).
In anycase, in response to Kristen: Assuming you were referring to the PEOPLE photoshoots that the J-Ps have done, I have a feeling we’ll see one with at least most of the kids by the end of the year. I’m guessing that Angie and Brad will adopt J-P kid number 7 sometime this Fall, and will do a photoshoot with him/her (I have a feeling it will be an African girl) just as they did with Pax when he was newly adopted.

Thanks for the photos, Sherry! It was nice to see new photos of Brad, Angie and the older children. Those four have grown so much lately. Shi picking her nose was so cute and funny. She obviously noticed the paparazzis and wanted to entertain them in her own way. Zee looked a little bit sleepy after the show. It was great to see her beautiful hair braided. Mad and Pax both are big boys already. That look Mad gives to Pax inside the car is hilarious. It´s like he´s trying to show his superiority over his little bro. But he loves Pax. They are brothers after all. Pax has changed so much. When he came into the JP family he was shy and now he´s anything but shy. He and Mad sure are typical boys bossing their younger siblings around. Hopefully they enjoyed the show. God bless this family!

joliepittfanatic, that’s exactly what I meant! I loved the pictures from the People shoot, especially because it was a completely different situation from the paparazzi pictures – the photographer wasn’t yelling the kids’ names, and the flashes were very few, so they were able to relax more. I always feel guilty looking at pictures like the one in this post – I know that many people would say the JP kids are used to this kind of attention by now, but I don’t think it’s the kind of thing you can ever get used to. It’s certainly not something I would want to expose my child to.

i’ve seen a production before but not like that in New York.. it’s just here in the Philippines, we’ve watched “the nutcracker” and really! eventhough i’m an adult i liked it very much!
Pax is so cute! he’s grown so much, a little shorter now from Mads height.. i was just wondering, why do i always see pics of Pax with Brad and not with Angie?? I always see Angie with either Mad, Zee or Shi.. i was just wondering.. even in Japan, it’s Mads she’s holding.. is Mads her fave son?? i was though here that when your the eldest your “the love child”.. is it true there in America?

I think and this is just my opinion, absolutely no truth to it just speculation, is that Pax is a little more of a hand full then Mad is or was. Mad is also older and know what is expected of him in these situations. Where as Pax is at that age were they will just all of a sudden take off. This trait I find is more common in boys then girls. I am basing this on my own son also a hand full, the way Brad has a firm grip on Pax and on that video when they were in NOLE and Pax was running all over the place. I wonder if they decide what kid is with what parent before they go out, or if it is just sporadic. I remember AJ saying the boys like to cuddle with mom and the girls like to cuddle with dad. I don’t believe they have favorites but a mother does usually have a soft spot for her eldest.

angelina and brad do not have favorites. they just have which-ever kid is closer at the time of departure of a place. any mother with lots of kids will know they are loved EXACTLY the same, no more, no less

Kimmy, eventhough Angie had Mad first i don’t think she favors favoritism when it comes to her kids. she loves them all equally. maybe it just so happened that eveytime we see them out it’s Brad who’s holding pax. :)

Pax was older than Madd when he was adopted by Angelina. Pax suffered more than Madd and you see the outcome of that. Brad and Angie still talk about the fact that Pax still hides food. I would think that maybe he doesn’t share as well as the others. Most pictures of Pax shows him either eating a snack or drinking a drink. My husband grow up in PR, in a large very poor family and to this day (68) he worries if people have enough to eat. If he goes food shopping with me he spends all his time in the meat area. I believe that all the Jolie-Pitt children, present and future will all grow to be people that worry about the less fortuate. Pax, I believe will be a leader. Istead of putting this family down people should realize all the good the Jolie-Pitts do and will teach their children.

Well, I hope they got to finish the show! I would be a shame if they didn’t…wish people would just let them be when they are in places like this…it really gets ridiculous! Love Shi with a big smile and picking nose and Z giving her famous “I don’t like you” looks. I have a feeling that they are going to have more problems with Pax. The first 5 years are supposedly the most critical part of growing up…and Pax was adopted when he was about 4 so I’m sure there’s old baggage – especially coming from a poor orphanage in a poor country. Lot’s of issues there. I am not a psychologist nor do I claim expertise in child development but I can relate since I was adopted twice within the same family since I was a baby. I had a lot of issues but because I had loving and caring people raising me, I think I turned out alright. I hope the same goes for Pax. I do miss the twins too. Imagine all these kids trudging along when they are all walking? Not enough hands but maybe the older ones will be big enough to hold the little ones hands just like the time Pax, Shi and Z went out with just Mom in NOLA. I just hope they have some peace and the paps don’t bug them as much! Cheers to everyone!

always love seeing pictures of the kids! they’re amazing, i love the fact that they’re born/from different countries, its what makes them unique and beautiful this family! so proud of brad and angelina, they are such good parents. God bless them all. xox

So glad to see that the children were taken to a child outing like the Little Mermaid. Should be a fun time for all of them. With mom and dad gone so much a whole family outing (sans twins) is so good for the children!

I think the adopted children are looking more and more like their mom and dad. Look at how Z looks like AJ and Pax ,just from body language ,looks like Brad! I believe Mad reflects AJ in body language. Whatever, they are one handsome and beautiful family. I can’t wait for the next two. Yea!

yeah.. come to think of it.. i remember a pic of them, shi, zee-zee and pax with angie buying cheetos at a local new orleans store.. and she sees to it that evryone gets equal attention..
