It’s that time of year again, when Forbes.com releases their Forbes Celebrity Power List, based on overall earnings and fame. Usually Oprah Winfrey comes in on top but not this year! This year Angelina Jolie ranks number one on the Forbes Celebrity Power List!
For earnings, Angelina earned $27 million in the past 12 months. As far as fame goes, Forbes has always explained that they use things like web references/searches, magazine covers, and broadcast mentions. As we all know, Angelina’s name is mentioned constantly around the Internet, not to mention the volume of magazine covers that have her face on them.
Between the two, Angie was able to bump Oprah out of first place even though the media mogul earned a whopping $275 million over the past year between her television show, magazine, and other projects.
With Angelina Jolie in first place at Forbes, that left Oprah in second place, followed by Madonna in third and Beyonce Knowles in fourth.
Meanwhile Brad Pitt came in ninth place even though his earnings were slightly higher at $28 million this past year. It’s odd that there’s such a gap between them since they’re both usually mentioned together in headlines, but perhaps Angie has had more magazine covers alone – plus she gets mentioned for style & fashion more often I think.
I wonder if they like to joke about it at home together, you know with good-natured teasing – “Nope, you change the diaper this time, I came in first on Forbes!”
Congratulations to both of them, especially since we know how much they do with their money and celebrity power to help those in need all around the world!

I am one of the millions of people happy with this news that these 2 gods of Hollywood are not splitting up. There is hope for the rest of us! Clearly they are truly in love with each other regardless of their differences and their past loves and life. Ange and Brad belong together (married or not), not just for their kids but also for all the good deeds they have done. Angelina is living up to her name, she is one real angel and this world is a beter place because of people like her, such a bonus that Brad shares her sentiment and good nature. No wonder, they are both blessed in so many ways. I’m sure more blessings are to come for this wonderful couple. Keep up the excellent yet challenging work! Both of you are in our prayers.

That doesn’t sound right. I read the forbes article and they said the $27 million included her pay for Wanted, Kung Fu Panda, and Salt. She earned about 14-15 million for Wanted and another 14 million + a percentage of the profits from Salt. That alone would mean she earned 28 million. I don’t know how much she got for the KFP, but she’s earning more than Forbes says. Anyways, Go Angie!”

I do hate all the roumors and stuff that is said about them, but it seem as if it help (sorry to mention)anyway when they stop talking about you, then you are so over.

While I don’t think Angie or Brad pay attention to these constant rankings, it is pretty awesome that they still made the top 10 and that Angie takes the top spot.

I only brought Forbes new article about Angie and Brad in previous thread. You involve Forbes magazine in the tabloid category ? I don’t think Forbes is better than Foreign Affairs but I don’t think it’s a tabloid.
I once wrote tabloids exist for poorly educated people and I don’t read them.
Congratulations!! she deserves it, she does so good to others and still never acts as if she were perfect, she accepts the good and bad things we all as humans do, she’s so real.

Congratulations to Brad & Angie for making on the list as the Most Powerful Celebrity in the World. Specially to Angie not only # 1 on the list but beat Ophrah, she dethroned O.What a nice gift for Angie’s birthday tomorrow ( June 4).She truly deserved everything.
I’m glad that Brad & Angie’s rep. cleared all the rumours surrounding what The Enquirer mag. ( Tabloid) were spreading. I didn’t believe it at all but still, nice for the rep to say something about it. They should sue that tabloid. I think I am beginning to like US Weekly aside from People magazine & Hello.

What an honor for both Angie and Brad, and on the eve of her birthday, too! She earned about one tenth as Oprah and still came out ahead! I can just imagine the volume of internet searches, etc. generated by her name. Congratulations to both of them and I hope Angie will have a happy birthday celebration tomorrow, whether on location or at home with her family.
