The official nominations have been revealed – Angelina Jolie is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for the 2008 Golden Globes. The nomination is for her role as Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart. She is in some excellent company; her fellow nominees are Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Julie Christie (Away From Her), Jodie Foster (The Brave One), and Keira Knightley (Atonement).
Awesome news! It’s not 100% sure, there have been upsets in the past, but often a Golden Globe nominee will end up being an Oscar contender, something we’ve all been hoping for. She was so incredible in A Mighty Heart and I’m so happy to see her up for an award.
Plus, we all know that if either one of them is nominated for a large award like this that it means we’ll be seeing some Red Carpet Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie in 2008! Yay!

I Read Somewhere That The GG Might Not Happen Because Of The Writers Strike. Anyway Angie Totally Deserves Her Nomination. Her Performance Was Flawless. I Also Think Brad Shouldve Been Nominated 4 His Performance In “Jesse James”
